Excellent place to stay - a sensitively restored collection of traditional folk houses with a fascinating museum and generous host.

there are diferent reasons and ways to rate your stays… sometimes it’s about price and location sometimes it’s about comfort and hospitality those are basics and they have to be on high for your satisfaction but there is one more thing that it is so hard to find - the history behind the place and when we speak of history and soul of place Csipkeszeg b&b is an experience that is hard to compare with anything else Michael is all about traditional dances and he lives with it, it is his passion and center of his world meeting people who are so committed to something is priceless staying 2 days in old traditional house which is more 160 years old, while having all the modern commodities like shower and bathroom is something that you can hardly find somewhere else small private pool which is actually a small salty lake is another reason to stay here the food (both breakfast and dinner) cooked of simple but high quality products is another reason to choose this place Romania is amazing for small hotels, but this one is absolutely worth of visiting - it might become an adventure that you will never forget

This is an amazing place that offers not just lodging but an entire experience. If you like time travelling and dancing, this is the place to be. The hosts are very friendly, the food is great - based on locally grown crops, the village is clean and very quiet. It's definitely worth the visit!

We like very much Michel’s stories about dance house.

This is an unusual place - in a very good way. The host is an avid dancer (all kinds) and has preserved two dance halls which are now essentially museums. If you are thinking of going here, seriously consider asking him to arrange some music and dancing. In my case, as a solo traveler in the off-season, it didn't make sense. There would be a cost to you for this. Although I would have loved to hear some live, traditional music, I really enjoyed hearing all about it from Michael (who is Dutch, btw).
