This could have been a 5 star review had it not been for a few things like the rules regarding access to the swimming pool. We paid premium prices for this hotel as it had a pool which is rare in Florence. However, it is only after booking your accommodation that you find out that use of the pool is limited to one-hour pre-booked sessions and that under 18s are not allowed. My son who is about to turn 18 in a matter of a couple of months was denied access which was incredibly disappointing, it's not like he is a little kid nor was he going to be using the facilities unaccompanied. Your policies need to be more transparent and made clear at the time of booking not afterwards. The bathroom has a nasty open drains smell and the hot water fluctuates badly so your shower goes from warm to cold to scalding hot which is very dangerous. There is mould in the shower area and it could benefit from a good wipe down with some bleach to address it. While the rooms are a good size and the terrace was a great bonus,I feel like we wasted our money and could have found something comparable without a pool at a better price.

We had two rooms here for our stay in Florence-- one for us and one for our teenagers. Both rooms were beautiful and comfortable, very clean. And the location really could not be beat-- very walkable to just about every major attraction in Florence. Our only issue was that the air conditioning in our room was not working correctly. It was blowing air, but it never got cool our entire stay. Even with the temp set as low as possible, our room was very warm all the time. We brought it up at the front desk, they sent a maintenence worker up to look at it. He fiddled with the remote a bit, turned the unit on and off a few times, then left saying he needed to get someone else. But no one ever came back to address the problem.

Tip, there is no pool. It is just a hot tub spa.

Well located, pool opening hours are very restricted- only available from 1pm each day. Not all rooms have air conditioning, otherwise they are spacious.

Inexpensive, great location, somewhat hip hotel. Good breakfast, comfy beds, good AC, lots of space to store clothes. I would stay here again.

Great hotel. Has everything you need and is in a terrific location!! We were able to walk from the train station with our luggage which was just under a 15 minute walk. It was nice to be in the heart of Firenze for our stay. Highly recommend!

This place is perfect. Excellent location, rooms were huge. Staff was extremely helpful. We loved everything about it.

Room was sparse and interaction with staff was minimal, the hotel is in a great location and is clean. Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel is in a good location and is spacious. I think it would be excellent for families traveling together. Our room was very large and they have a pool.

This a really unique property with a clean, innovative building. They have a pool, excellent breakfast, very cool rooms, and the location is just perfect. The staff is very helpful and you can walk to Il Duomo, Pontevecchio, tons of restaurants, a little square right by the hotel with nice indoor/outdoor seating and you’re surrounded by history.

Lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful! Rooms immaculate, quiet and comfortable! Breakfast was excellent! Spa was a little tired looking! Jacuzzi not working, just needs a little sprucing up and would be super!

Beautiful, relaxing village with sandy beaches and umbrellas, short walk to the old town with shops, restaurants, churches and wonderful views of the bay.

Staff was very helpful, thank you! The shower water fluxuates between VERY hot to very COLD every 15 seconds, a very uncomfortable shower. Also, there is a lot of mold on the bedroom wall. Very unhealthy.

The hotel is really nice with large rooms. Our first room was not so nice but we got transferred to a room on the fourth floor with a beautiful view. Our discomfort with this last room was that there was a bad smell coming out from the bathroom during all of our stay

Great central location; easy walking to everything. Lobby staff was always welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room ceiling rivals a Michelangelo masterpiece! And the buffet was equally terrific, and more wonderful staffers. The suite was extremely comfortable, albeit the kitchen area could use improved lighting.

The grotto is fantastic
