It looks deserted, empty and dark. It was probably a nice hotel in it s day but not anymore. They have security staff that don t speak English and have no education of what a 5 star hotel is.

We had a lovely time staying in this hotel/palace. Description of palace is only appreciated once you see the inside of this place. Grand interiors with amazing corridors, our room had an incredibly high ceiling with equally high window, double entrance doors. It was well set out with plenty of surface areas and cupboard space. Room, bathroom and entire hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. Staff were ever present, always helpful but not intrusive. English was not a problem at all. Location was excellent. Highly recommend Tradycyjne Polskie Smaki Restaurant across the road for Pirogis.

I only saw about five guests in my seven days there and I still had to wait till 4 pm to check in. Why?. Great location and nice old building inside— marble stairs and pillars etc. Good wifi in the room. I think I was shunted away to the furthest away room, that was No. 68 It said there was a coffee maker but there wasn’t one. Only a kettle. There was only two sachets of Nescafé and powder milk but because there was no housekeeping for my first five days they were not replaced and I had to buy my own coffee and milk outside. Very poor. There was no drawers to put my clothes away and the narrow wardrobe had a rail but no hangers. Very poor. Air conditioning didn’t work and after three times asking over five days it finally did get fixed. Very poor. 32 channels on the television but only one English speaking channel which was a French news channel. Very poor. Good shower and hot water but bathroom extract didn’t work and there was only one small circular piece of soap. Remember this is a room with two single beds therefore potentially two people. I had to buy my own soap. Very poor. Room service menu very limited. Only four main course choices. Two of pork, one of duck and one of trout. None of which I eat. No chicken, meat or pasta. Very poor. So to sum it all up, l paid on average £125—approximately 150 Euros per night for all these failings. Very poor. So disappointing. Word of advice — I can’t comment on other rooms but DO NOT accept room No 68.

Beautiful hotels, good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathroom and entry need updating. The shower is in the bathtub…It was slippery, and dangerous for people over 60! The front door was difficult to enter. The hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping.

A welcoming and friendly hotel staff. Breakfast a bit limited but there was an option to ask which I didn't realise. A first class location within easy walking distance of most attractions. Thoroughly recommend.

The building is such a lovely place with an interesting history. Given that tourism is just picking up again it is unfair to criticize and we were treated with the utmost care and understanding. However, I was disappointed as the very wonderful room in which we stayed, was quite warm during both the day and night. The A/C didn't seem to work very well, even after we told the front desk it was not satisfactory. Aside from the room temp, the place is lovely and so close to the city center. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel looks a bit haunted. VERY Outdated bedrooms. Asked for toothpaste and toothbrush toiletries, and none where available

This is a great hotel. A short walk to the square, good breakfast, nice employees and fun, historic hotel. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Brilliant location, right in the centre of town but the street is not noisy as really no traffic. Really helpful staff. The hotel is very traditional with a lovely bar area and restaurant. We had a nice size room and a good internet connection. For anyone wanting to stay somewhere a bit special, then I would highly recommend.

Warm welcome and good service.

My boyfriend and I were travelling to Krakow, and we decided to treat ourselves and upgrade our stay to a five-star hotel in old-fashioned style, a rare (and expensive) experience for us. We expected some kind of luxury, but even though it looked beautiful, it was all kind of scruffy and forlorn. We stayed one night in a big room, but was woken aprubtly by construction right outside our window at 6.45 on a Saturday morning. We requested a different room and got - a smaller - one. The staff was really nice, but we weren't compensated for the smaller room, and the first room shouldn't even have been rented out at all with construction going on all day from early morning. A lot of little things were amiss, like crooked, uneven beds and missing info on wifi and roomservice. The breakfast was almost inedible, just thankful we didn't pay to have it included our entire stay but only tried it one morning. On the plus side the staff was very kind and welcoming, but I've stayed at much cheaper hotels that were a lot more luxurious. We're really disappointed and cannot recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and a very convenient location.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located and has a lot of charm / character. Our room was a nice size and the bed was very large and comfortable. Woul highly recommend!

Great location, the junior suite was definitely worth the extra. Good breakfast. Best of all, the noisy disco opposite has closed down.

Very accommodating. However, websites indicates “air conditioning” but they turn it off when it’s cool out. Problem is, there are bars and partying on street so can’t open the windows due to to the noise. A bit out of date as well.

The front desk staff and bellmen were fantastic, but the hotel has a tired feeling. The breakfast was terrible, I regret to say. The hotel has a fabulous location and tons of old-world charm. Its badly in need of some refurbishing and rethinking.

Definitely a 5 star Hotel. It may have been in the past. Breakfast is mediocre. The room was ok but the bed was worn out and uncomfortable. Location is great. The bellmen were superb. The rest of the staff was uneven. Some very nice and friendly others outright rude.

We had to pay for 2 airport shuttles, even though we only booked one with Expedia. Apparently Expedia also booked another airport shuttle, so we had 2 drivers waiting for us at the airport. We went with the one we had booked with Expedia and paid for, figuring the other one was a mistake. However, when we were paying the Hotel bill, there was a charge for Airport Shuttle on the bill. The hotel explained that Expedia requested the service giving them our flight details etc. I was wondering how the other taxi could have known when to turn up at the Airport. What are my chances of getting a refund?

Staff were so friendly and helpful they all exceeded expectations hotel was beautiful quite quiet so perfect for a weekend away with a partner or family .
