What a wonderful experience at The Varana Hotel. The staff was absolutely lovely from start to finish. They were very accomodating and made our visit extra special. The whole hotel vibe was super beautiful and modern. Our room was spacious and I loved the sustainability throughout the entire property. The breakfast was delicious and had many made to order and healthy options. The restaurant Kin, was also so good. We ate there regularly for lunch and dinner. Lastly, the Onsen spa was amazing and we enjoyed how nice and clean it was. Overall, a magical experience! We hope to be back!

Varana is a very nice property. It is *not* directly on the beach; but a very short walk across the street. Staff is super attentive and friendly. The property is gorgeous and the room is quite comfortable. We would stay again for sure.

This resort lived up to its status of being a 5 star. Starting of with a vast property (still look like new), well maintained and very clean, to the staffs that are very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to checked in early, gave us a discount for the transportation to get our things from the other hotel and back to theirs. The welcome drink and fresh towel is a good gesture, its refreshing and heartwarming at the same time. Once we were checked in, we were escorted to our room via their own tuktuk ride. The room is very spacious and it has a great view from the balcony. The room itself is very clean, nice interior and very pleasing to the eyes. They even provided a bag that you can use should you want to go to the beach or the pool. They have big pools, 3 areas to be exact and its very well maintained. The restaurant has great food selections (we tried breakfast a dinner as well as in room dining). Overall, it was a great experience for us. Too bad its only for a short period. I will definitely come back here in my next visit to Thailand.

New hotel, very clean. The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a quieter part, maybe 15 mins in a car from the main touristy bit - for us that is a positive. The swimming pools are great, two kid friendly pools and a huge/deep pool for exercise/diving. How the hotel could improve: - better sound proofing in the rooms - branded shampoo/conditioner - a small mirror was taped onto the big mirror in the bathroom, this kept falling off which was rather annoying. Minor complaints. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a luxury break.

Located next door to a very loud mosque. I had a party at 5 pm on Saturday, staff told me to turn the music because someone complained!!!??? Also loud construction noise from their new building can be heard all day. Beach bar across the street is totally dead even on the weekends. Verana sucks. Lied about the discount given because of the noise too.

Luxury stay in Krabi, great amenities and couldn’t rate the staff enough. Very pleased with this designer hotel. All facilities top quality and a true sense of 5 star throughout. The best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Fantastic hotel and staff! Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Situated across from a very quiet beach but there is also a beach club if you want a bit more lively. All in all a great hotel and location.

In short - you can get the same experience in your nearest vacation town at any generic hotel chain. There are some major issues with this new hotel that must be addressed. 1. When we arrived at the hotel, no one was waiting at the entrance, leaving us wondering where is the Lobby? Where should we leave the suitcases ? How do we check in? 2. After going up the staircase while leaving out luggage alone we found the reception with what seems to be two very young teenagers behind the desk 3. No “welcome”, “how was your trip here?” , “how are you?” . The conversation literally started with - “Hello, please give me your passport and credit card”. They were not rude, they were just children that don’t have clue on hospitality. 4. After signing some papers we got a cheap paper that was clearly cut by a 4-years-old “complimentary 1 hour at their thermal something” , didn’t really listened as it was scotching hot in the lobby with standing cheap fans. 5. We waited another 10 minutes for someone to pick us up to the room, when we got there the key was not working - apparently they wrote different room numbers on the inside and outside of the key holders 6. Finally got into the room - air conditioning was off and there was zero oxygen in the room. 7. As for the quality -the hotel is new, however the use if cheap materials is noticeable and a lot of things already starting to fall apart such as bathroom tiles,bad smells,mold, pool chairs etc. 8. I have 18 points but no space left

Overall, it is a very good facility. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast is very positive. The bread is home-baked in their own bakery and is very delicious. At the same time, the choice of food is very varied. We felt very comfortable and would come back again.

The hotel property was so nice and clean. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding, the pool bar was nice and had great food! The only thing I would suggest is to get a lift up to the breakfast area as the only way up is stairs. People who are handicap/bad knees have to go up stairs. Also, it would be nice if more shopping is around the area on the beach. Not much shops around. Other than that, great place to stay, we loved it!!!

The hotel itself is new and beautiful. The staff is very friendly, but the newness shows in the ease of services. They are trying so very hard but it doesn't quite make it. Since we were there during the soft opening I believe they will work out their kinks and smooth out the roughness...but again, the strong effort to please is there. The one downside is the resort is removed from the hub of things and we often had a hard time getting a Grab to pick us up. Getting back home was never an issue. The price for this level of hotel was wonderful and in spite of my criticism I highly recommend the Varana.

Everything about staying at Varana was amazing! The staff was so great, the property was so beautiful and well kept and I truly appreciate their commitment to sustainability. We will be back! Highly recommend!!!!

Honestly perfect! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the design and build of the hotel is breathtaking and the food was wonderful! We stayed for 3 days as part of our honeymoon and we already want to come back. The breakfast buffet was so tasty, the spa and fitness classes were great and the rooms were so comfortable and clean. The beach club is one of the best we have been too- stunning views and great food and drink ( don’t miss happy hour 2 for 1 everyday!) the cocktails worked out to £3 which is spectacular considering the quality and location- we would usually pay £14-£18 for something like this in Europe. Make sure to take the boat tour with picnic too and rent a motorbike to see other parts of Krabi ( although we found that no where was as pleasant as Varana and the beach club!

Onsen experience was incredible, highly recommend morning hike that they have as a fitness activity it’s 3.7 km trek to the mountain so worth it and exceeded my expectation as I though it will be a brisk walk! Enjoyed HIIT class as well! Gym has very good space and equipment.

This hotel is amazing! We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. Everything is so clean, every member of staff is extremely friendly and it’s also a brand new resort with excellent attention to detail. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious, there is an excellent range of food for everything. We booked a day trip to hong islands through the hotel which again was organised perfectly and really good value for money. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. I’m sad we didn’t book to stay here for longer!
