There was no breakfast as it was room only. However, I think we would have now preferred to have booked for breakfast included but this was our host’s first year so perhaps our host will later on consider breakfast. However this is a personal view not a criticism.

Possibly blinds up at the windows would benefit as we were facing a main road and we could actually see the person opposite the road in their room! We had lovely toiletries but no shower gel so we had to buy!

Lovely and cosy, felt like it had a unique and personal touch, real attention to detail (such as real filter, coffee and little snacks, provided with the kettle, and nice miniature lotions in the bathroom).

The only downside was the shower didn’t work very well… I couldn’t regulate the temperature, it was either freezing cold or too hot, and very low water pressure.

Nicola was very friendly and the place was very cosy!

Lovely village with lots of eateries and shops. Very comfortable single room with electric shower and all the usual tea/coffee facilities. Private car park at rear with well thought out changing room, so useful after I had run the Cheviot Goat and needed to get in during the night.

Minor matter, but the shower made a reasonable noise - was reluctant to use during the night for fear of disturbing others.
