Excellent place for rest, beautiful fresh and clean.

We love Rock Hall and have been coming for years! It's a really cute house and great location with beautiful views. But it's also obvious that the owners aren't looking for a career in managing rentals, and are only killing time until the property sells. The place was bare bones...not even curtains on the bathroom window...

This was the perfect place to celebrate Father’s Day. Very clean and comfortable. The host is very responsive. We would love to come back!

This rental has such potential, but doesn't quite reach the standards of many VRBO properties, especially when you compare prices of other local rentals. The pros: The view is amazing. Sitting on the screened in porch was a highlight of the trip. Rock Hall is such a cute little town. The cons: The outside of the rental needs some serious TLC. The landscaping is very overgrown and full of weeds. It really detracts from how cute the rental could be, and definitely blocks some of the amazing view. No TV-the rental doesn't say it has one so I can't hold that against them, but on a rainy day at the bay with family, the TV, books, or games would have been very helpful. Two of the three kayaks were accessible. One is stored high up in the storage area. Bring your own towels. Inside the rental wasn't dirty per se, but definitely could have been cleaner. Sand was on the floor, spiderwebs in corners, sand in the shower...The outside porch could use a good sweeping, and the screen is in need of repair. Communication with the property manager was adequate, but we needed to reach out to them the day before since we had not heard anything about checking in (codes, key location, wifi). There were no notes whatsoever about the town, checking out, or trash removal. This VRBO is currently listed for sale as of 7/04/24. There is not a sign at the front of the house, but it is listed on Zillow. For the price we paid, I am not sure the rental price is worth it.

We got very sick with covid strain and coukd not make the trip. We were all very disappointed. We thought we just had colds but then got much more ill and tested. It was heartbreaking. I gave five stars because I cant submit without and the place looks lovely!

The location is amazing. Right on the bay with beautiful breezes blowing in and about 10 feet of beach front. We brought our kayaks and went of three paddles over the course of three days. It was great--we could just drag our kayaks into the bay. This house is about 1.5 miles from the town center of Rock Hall. The Blue Heron restaurant is a short 5 minute walk. The house itself is nice, but it is bare minimum in terms of being "stocked." There are absolutely no pantry items--no salt, no sugar, no oil--nothing. The bathroom has hand soap, but no shampoos or body wash or anything like that. The morning we were heading to this rental, the property manager informed us that there were no towels and asked if we could bring our own. It was no big deal, but it was very late notice. The house sleeps six but it was only two of us. The common spaces would be tight with six. The living room seats five, the eat-in kitchen seats four at the breakfast bar and four at the dining table. There is no place for six people to eat together. The screened has four rocking chairs. There are two chairs to bring down to the small beach front and there are two Adirondack lawn chairs. The screened in porch has a screen that is damaged, so a few flys got in. The porch would greatly benefit from an outdoor sofa or a hammock. There is only one small outdoor table. Inside, the downstairs bedroom does not have night stands. At this price point I expected a little more in addition to the great location.

Overall the property is very nice with breath taking views, great fishing, and will fulfill your beach fix. It’s in a great location directly on the water with a small beach perfect for playing in the water/sand and also watching beautiful sunsets each night. The trees in the backyard provide great shade which is especially nice for little ones and furry friends. Located on a quiet street great for taking walks and the neighbors were very friendly. The house was nice but not the cleanest and did not provide bath or beach towels so you will need to bring your own. The host/property manager was responsive within a few hours to all of my questions, but there was no arrival or check out information provided without my prompting. I had to ask for all needed info like the door access code and Wi-Fi information. There was food in the fridge, other belongings left on the porch from previous guests, dish washer full, and the trash cans were full when we arrived. The yard was cut during our stay on Thursday afternoon so we had to move all of our stuff from the backyard which would have been okay if we were alerted ahead of time. With that being said, all of our complaints are minor and easy fixes for future improved stays. Besides that, we would stay again as the location was perfect for what we were looking for in our mini family vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Memorial Day stay at the Bayburst Lodge! Our son and his wife, our daughter and her boyfriend joined us. This home is located right on the water on a quaint road in Rock Hall. The home was spacious and clean and pet friendly. We enjoyed the small private beach right on the water and also caught some small fish right from the beach. We had amazing weather all weekend until Monday, but the rain held off until we left. We enjoyed eating at the Blue Heron and the Harbor Shack and had an entertaining Tiki Boat cruise which launched from the Haven Harbour North Marina. We will be booking another visit (week long stay) at Bayburst Lodge because we didn't want to leave!
