Wonderful hotel in an excellent location. My personal favorite is the out door hot tubs and heated pool.

There was an issue with our fridge and the entire unit was replaced. The check-in staff were a bit impatient, but once all was sorted out, and we were checked into our room, the service was very good.

We were surprised to read several bad reviews about this property, that was not our experience at all! The room was clean and very comfortable, with a balcony/patio and fireplace. All of staff were great. JJ in parking took good care of our car, the bellmen were super helpful and set up fires for us each night. There was only one occasion when the desk did not answer the phone right away.
The restaurant was average and did not live up to the prices of the meals. The menu was limited and it was disappointing that they did not have soups of any kind. If you're looking to eat light, you may need to go elsewhere. The service at the restaurant was great but the orders were not always quite correct.
Overall, this is a great place to stay and only a short walk to the plaza.

It was a great stay as usual. We have stayed there year after year and it is always a great time. However, the beds may need to be updated. They are hard and a bit run down. Overall the property is amazing and it is the historic part of the plaza!

Vallet service was very good and friendly. Reception was rather rude and restaurant / breakfest was a mess. For example waited for the bill for more than 30mins, while the waiter was cleaning the tables. No smiles, no friendliness. And furthermore very slow and non-professional service. We decided to take another hotel in the future. The vallet personel in the garage were perfect. Super friendly, fast and always on a good mood.

When we first arrived, the room we had reserved was not available. Seems the recent snowstorm had damaged some rooms, including the one we had reserved. The morning after check-in, the staff were very helpful and moved us to the correct room.

The hotel was very dirty, smelled and the service was non-existent, they didn't answer their own phones. The coffee tated like dirty water and they lacked supplies. We heard that they just lost their 4 diamond rating. We would not go back.

Terrible stay. Do not recommend this to anybody. In the first room the shower was clogged and filled with sewage. We left word at the front desk. Upon returning that evening, the room had not been cleaned and the shower was worse. Upon demanding to be changed to another room, we were moved. The following day, again the room was not cleaned. Upon making another fuss, housekeeping showed up, looked around and did not do anything. All we got were apologies and nothing was done. In general the hotel shows signs of wear and tear and lack of maintenance.

Hotel was pretty run-down. Both chairs in our room were torn. There was water damage on the ceiling. Overpriced for the quality of the room. We've been to Santa Fe many times, and this was our worst hotel experience there.

The first room we checked in to had a broken coffee machine, no knob to change settings on the fridge, and knob for hanging clothes on the bathroom door was removed among other things. We asked for a replacement coffee maker and that too was faulty. Would be nice if those could be checked prior to checking a guest into a room. We ended up having to switch rooms bc of all the issues which although minor start to add up. New room was fine and did not have any issues but was a hassle having to experience all this first and then having to switch rooms.

I always stay at the el dorado when im in Santa Fe. The location is perfect for access to the opera by car or shuttle and for walking everywhere else. They have completes a beautiful pool and hot tub area that is an amazing magical place to spend a morning.

We loved the locatiom and convenience near the infamous Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding restaurants. I didn't feel our room and accommodations were up to "spa" standards. Room walls seem pretty thin as we constantly woke up to neighboring guests. Our check-in manager was not very welcoming and seemed to be having a bad day. On the positive side, my family really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. The two valet parking attendants, hard at work, were overwhelmed. They were polite and apologetic, totally understandable. I hope to have a better experience and room accommodation for the upscale SF hotel and spa experience I am paying for.

There is no way this is a 4-star hotel! It is so dated, rooms have old scratched and ripped furniture. AC hardly works. Staff was rude especially the woman at front desk. She has a terrible attitude. She should not be working in any form of hospitality. Our room was not ready until AFTER our promised “guaranteed” time. A rip off!!
