Whilst we enjoyed our stay at Dreams but the hotel does not have a 5 Star feel about it. The building itself I has a somewhat dated appearance and does not exude the luxury and quality that we expected.
We booked b&b Preferred Club. Our room was fine with a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The daily included drinks and snacks were welcome.
The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied but table service for hot drinks was a little lacking. Many bowls were chipped and we noticed numerous dirty plates.
The main pool area is a little tired, many parasols are ripped and/or damaged and some unusable. The sunbeds are cheap plastic ones and some dirty from spilled drinks etc. I was surprised there was no waiter service around the pool for a 5 Star hotel but no problem for us.
We tried the Preferred Club pools but they were not our scene - small, quiet and isolated but might suit others.
The Preferred Club lounge provided inclusive snacks and soft drinks all day until 6.00 pm which was a welcome perk though was actually a bit naff. The snacks were basic, the coffee machine was out of action on 3 occasions, the tables not cleaned etc.
The evening entertainment was varied and good though the venue is makeshift at the bottom of the main stairs in the bar area. Obtaining a seat with a view is tricky with numerous columns in the seating area.
We dined at Marina Rubicon every night so can’t comment on the hotel’s restaurants.
We had a good time but would not return.

It is a nice resort but it is not properly run. The staff is doing their best but it is understaffed. The variety of the food is good but the quality is not the best. The evening restaurants are not properly run and the food is ok but nothing special… it could be great under proper management

Very clean hotel and surrounding areas. Felt safe walking on the promenade even into the night. No real noise on the promenade after about 23:30 and our room was always quiet if we needed a nap. Hotel was very well organised. Probably the best shower I’ve had at a hotel, fantastic water pressure and the water temperature remains constant. We enjoyed our meals on site and the staff were really very pleasant. Shops were only a short walk away and snorkelling at the beach was lovely. Thank you.

Excellent hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The luxuries you get with preferred club are great and worth the extra. Perfect location - right by the beach and marina. Can't wait to come back!

The cabanas are in the wrong place - they should be at sugar reef, the pool bar is overrun at busy times and can’t service the cabanas where as the bar at sugar reef is very quiet and would be ideal for servicing the cabanas

The Hotels choice of 5 restaurants is misleading. Only one is open each night.
Very noisy staff in the morning and throughout the day, sounded like a competition who could slam the door the loudest.
Location is great, plenty in the area and the preferred club option is worth the money with some nice extras

Lovely hotel in a brilliant location. Food is ok, nothing bad just standard all inclusive buffet. We chose bed and breakfast and ate out. Rooms nice, all very clean and good facilities. Swimming pool (preferred) is a lovely area to chill.

Service was quite poor and queues were bad for restaurant. We were there 4 nights and 2 of the restaurants we wanted to go to closed on those days, over a weekend which seemed off.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Situated at a walkable distance between the marina and town in Playa Blanca. Convenient to a small supermarket less than a 5 minute walk away. Good choice of pools and seating areas.

This is our second visit to Dreams, fantastic location for singles, couples and families however I was disappointed with the changes this year, eg no towels by the pool in privilege club, lack of choice in the privilege room ( ham sandwich only every day, what about the veggies) entertainment could be improved. It has just made my question if it is worth it next time to pay for the upgrade to privilege. On a positive note it is the staff that make this hotel, they can not do enough for you.

Great resort with no sun bed chasing as there are so many pools to choose from. Go Preferred Club if you can. Offers a lot of choices. We went b&b basis as we like to eat in the restaurants around the area. But plenty food choices and restaurants on site to stay or go fully inclusive. Breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from.
Location is a very good. Midway from the marina and shops. 10 min walk either way.
Would definitely stay again.

Restaurant food it was mediocre...not many choices in the food menu and also not so tasty.
If you book Preferred Club is worth the money.
Overall it was a good and relaxing stay!
