My reservation was all set by phone,they gave me the address and it was the wrong location I texted them and they responded with an apology and gave me the right address. When we arrived the lights over the fire place didn’t work the room was dark it needs a little up care, I’d rather see a front desk and talk to someone,will not do another phone reservation again

Cathy’s Cottages was so nice. Yes, it is a bit older and rustic, but that is what you want when you come to Big Bear Lake. Everything was clean in the cottage and it was very peaceful. We loved the memory foam mattress, the fireplace on a timer and the jetted tub. It was a perfect weekend getaway. Also you can park your car right out in the space in front of your unit. Amanda was such a sweetheart checking in on us because we were arriving very late from Las Vegas and she wanted to make sure we got into our cabin alright. Thanks Amanda for the special attention.

Old with a strong mildew smell. I understand it’s supposed to have a rustic, mountain feel to it but desperately needs a “makeover.” Cottage needs better lighting. Very dreary, depressing and dark inside. Curtains and fake flowers arrangement need to be removed. They are only collecting dust. Plug outlets are so old, that plugs kept falling off. Bed was decent (memory foam) but after 3rd night, my back was sore. Jacuzzi was the only thing good.

The owner has more then one property at Big Bear and the directions to the site I booked were unclear. Consequently, it took us an extra hour to get help finding our booked property. Otherwise it was a lovely room and convenient, easy location and parking

The place was a little worn but you don’t want somewhere in an outdoorsy mountain town to be pristine; it would distract from the environment. A stay in May is great. Chilly outside but warm in the little cabin. Great contrast. The jetted tub next to the fireplace, in view of the tv, was pretty awesome. The internet was spotty in my phone and iPad but worked fine with the streaming device I brought. I did need to bring a streaming device because there was no cable or tv signal. There’s no check in at the property. It’s all via web and text. Even still, customer service was good via text. Would definitely recommend.

The room had a jet tub in full working order as advertised and was stocked with a double headed shower as well. The room was quiet spacious and enjoyable for this trip. Additionally, the manager was quick to respond to any queries about the property and was very helpful in addressing any information relevant to my trip. Overall, this was a great cabin, especially considering the price point.

My boyfriend and I came to Big Bear for a quick getaway trip for a few days. This place was literally the most perfect place we could've chosen. All I really wanted was a fireplace and a hot tub, and this was above and beyond. Honestly i thought the place was going to be pretty small, but the pictures don't do it justice! It's actually a huge studio, with lots of nice little features, like a heating light in the bathroom, fireplace timer, fast heater, etc. I could go on and on. We absolutely loved it and our vacation was incredible. Huge props to the staff, especially Amanda who helped me check in. Everything is pretty close by, and our first night it snowed a bit and we were worried about a snow storm. We were able to find dining easily and the next couple days we drove back and forth to shop and eat and come back and relax. Awesome place, thank you so much!!!

This cottage is great for a couples getaway massive bath tub for two and it also has a dual shower heads if baths are not your forte, overall extremely pleasant.

Nice cozy place. Loved the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Also nice to be so close to the Circle K.
