607 Bay is an excellent choice for couples with the ability to carry heavy suitcases up a flight or two of stairs.(the one reality check for rolling suitcases). It is a stately building renovated since a 2019 purchase. Absolutely perfect location for a Beaufort visit. All is walkable (if you can first pass the above test). A friend likens Beaufort to Sag Harbor, and property values are heading in the same direction. Through the roof. 607's business model makes sense, little to no staff with adult short term stays pretty much on their own to make use of individual apartments on a great property in a prime location. The back area private parking is a huge plus for travelers who want to see all that Beaufort has to offer. Discover it now, as gentrification has come, and the artistic community which seems to center the community may soon be priced out. It is worth a trip out of your way. The second floor porch of 607 offers a priceless view of the bridge, the water, and a sense of the history of the town moving , as it has for centuries, on the water. Step out on that porch in the afternoon or evening, and know why this spot is so special.

The accommodations are convenient, but I would recommend a sound machine for each room. In the middle of the night, cars were drag racing very near 607 Bay. This drag racing lasted several hours. I turned on the bathroom vent, but it was connected to a light so I had to shut the door; therefore, the vent did not cover up the sound.

Chris, the owner greeted us! He made great suggestions where to eat and sightsee. He gave us a pass to the parks and beaches which were beautiful! “The Boneyard Beach was great for shelling! I highly recommend the Saltus and Wren restaurants.

More of a guest house, but quiet and appointed. The location on the river across from downtown Beaufort is priceless for walking to historic sites, dinner, etc.

We loved this place! We were greeted by a very courteous gentleman who showed us to our room. The entire hotel, including our room was in excellent shape. Everything looked new and well taken care of. We had a great view from our room as well. We parked in a secure parking lot in back. The hotel is a few minutes walk from various restaurants and shops.

Beautiful property in a fabulous location looking across the Beaufort River. Close to several great dining options and boutique shops. Room was super clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to stay. Only thing you need to know is that you don't get breakfast here. All the staff is so very nice and friendly.

Owner/Innkeeper Christopher was great & responsive to all our questions! Our room was upgraded to a larger room and on the 1st floor so that we didn’t have to use the stairs

In an ideal location. The property was is great condition and the rooms were nice. The bathroom was big and roomy with marble floors in the shower. Parking on site was convenient and plentiful. The best dinner options were and in close walking distance.
