Everything was of a high standard. Jim and Pauline were excellent hosts, the breakfast options were great, and the premises were kept in top condition. It is situated within easy walking distance to the centre of Portree, and suited our needs well.

Room is very small. The 2 ladies at the breakfast are friendly. Property is about 12 minutes walk to town but it is hard to do when it is raining, and it rain all the time when we were there. There is no parking in the town. Roads in Portree are hard to drive, most parts of the road are one car lane so we had to stop every 1/10 mile for other direction go thru. Most people in Scottland are not friendly, I would not come back to Scotland.

We had a great time at this B&B. The house is so cool, with its own history, great people, wonderful attention to detail, gave us great tips for dinning and activities, overall a great experience. A bit out of the way, but that is what we wanted.

Jim and Pauline has done up the place tastefully. Room was extremely comfortable with well thought out amenities. Breakfast room is pleasantly laid out with a good spread. Overall stay feels even better than what some hotels offer! Thank you Jim and Pauline for making our stay at Isle of Skye wonderful!

Beautiful b and b .lovely stay

The pros include that the property had plenty of parking, was extremely clean, and nicely located for an easy walk into town. The cons are that not only was the room exceptionally small, but the bed was unbelievably rock hard. Both my wife and I woke up several times per night with aching joints. Like sleeping on wood. Also of extreme frustration was that the window for dining in the morning was only 1 hour, 8 to 9 a.m. For travelers who are often jet lagged after lengthy journeys, this is totally unfortunate, to say nothing of being the most restrictive window for dining I've ever seen in a B&B. So, overall, while the property had some positives to it, we both agreed it was the most disappointing of all our stays throughout the country, and mostly because of things that could be easily remedied if the owners chose to do so.

Great place to stay. Nice owners, great service. Comfortable beds, really good breakfast. I'm staying here again and I can recommend it.

We had a great time staying here at Taigh Duitseach B&B. We got a room with a double bed on the 2nd floor by the stair. The room was spacious and very clean and I love the white and turquoise decoration. We had a view of the front of the house that overlooked the mountain and the loch. Bed was very comfortable which was great after a long hiking day in the Skye. Bathroom was clean and had everything you need including soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, q-tip, and cotton pad. Water pressure was excellent. It might not be that important for some but for us high water pressure while taking a shower is a must! There was also complimentary tea (large selection!), cookies, and coffee in the room with water pitcher that got refilled everyday. Breakfast in the morning was top notch! You got a home-cooked food with so much variety and bakery and fruit. Jim and Paulline were greatest hosts who I believe did the cooking and accommodated us at breakfast every morning. We stayed here for 2 nights and loved every bit of it. If we get to come back to the Skye, we will definitely be staying here again.

B&B was spotless, modern and in a good location (only 5-10min walk to Portree town centre! Jim and Paulline who ran the B&B were very helpful and accommodating - their hospitality was second to none!!!

Delightful stay in Portree. This B&B is quite new and very clean. We had a spacious superior room (Room 2) on the first floor. You can hear when others enter and leave the building as the floors do creak a bit but it didn't bother us as people were quiet. The shower pressure was amazing! Jim & Paulline served a lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Easy walk to the main area of town, and plenty of parking. Would recommend staying here if you're visiting Portree.

Nice clean room and comfy bed. This is a new build house but there's a major lack of insulation in the bedroom partitions as we heard everything from the room next door. The bathroom was nice with a great shower and fluffy towels provided. Plenty private parking outside and in a great location as just a short walk to the centre of Portree. Breakfast however was very poor, okay we are in the middle of a pandemic and they probably couldn't provide a cooked Scottish breakfast and they can service our room but there was certainly no reflection of this in the cost charged and had i know it was only a continental breakfast i might have stayed elsewhere. There was no choice in what we got for breakfast and was just a couple of bananas, couple of muffins or choc au pans, couple of yoghurts, small bits of cheese, small bottle of milk, small bottle of orange juice and a pot of cornflakes and crunchy nut cornflakes. We were not impressed as it was very poor and we didn't like everything we got. If we had received a menu to choose from the night before that would have been better, but no it was just take what you get. Maybe a nice place to stay under normal circumstances but during covid i wouldn't bother again.
