For a last minute trip to the Russian River I found this property had vacancy for 2 nights during the week. I thought the listing was well organized with information. Jaysa the owner was easy to communicate with and made the booking very easy. The house itself sits riverside and is as advertised. The nice thing about this house is that it’s not just a rental, but clearly used by the owners - so it’s in much better shape than other properties we have rented in past years. You can tell a lot about a homes cleanliness by looking at the bottom of your feet after walking around the interior. In nearly 100 percent of rentals the bottoms of feet are black with dirt. Not here! This property is properly cleaned. It is furnished comfortably and attractively. The kitchen is well stocked with ample utensils, appliances, etc. Although I brought my own sugar and spices etc - it was nice seeing that the pantry contained ample amounts of those items. There were plenty of towels and plenty of toilet paper (have stayed at many places recently where they give you one roll!) The outdoor areas are well kept. The deck by the river is very nice. We enjoyed using the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and the pedal boat. I highly recommend this house. I think it’s an excellent value, incredibly clean and well managed by the owners.

We spent a lovely three nights on the Russian River. The cabin was clean, well maintained, and well equipped. The house is comfortable and the outdoor spaces are inviting. The house is next to the river with well maintained watercraft to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you would want for cooking, and there is a gas grill on the deck. Guerneville and Armstrong Redwoods Preserve are minutes away by car. We hope to return!

We love this property. It suits us perfectly. We're best friends / family who come to enjoy the serene beauty of the river. We play games, laugh, and have old fashioned fun telling stories from the past & enjoying each others company. Thank you! It's been 4 years so far and look forward to many more. Cozy house with plenty of room. We loved our stay and spent some time exploring the area!

Second time staying on the Russian River. The kids had a great time and we were a short distance from the ocean so we drove to the tide pools for a day at the beach! Great trip and the property is very nice!

This is a great rental with a nicely renovated interior, fenced yard, and direct access to the river with lots of water toys. The house was comfortable and clean, with a nice deck with views of the river, and a great location. There were a few issues with the rental including a few kayaks with cracks that were not usable, though the owners did offer a partial refund and quickly ordered new kayaks, and a dishwasher that left the dishes with brown stains. Communication with the owner was a bit slow at times, but she was easy to deal with and very graciously let us stay later on checkout day.

Excellent location right on the river. 5min drive to downtown Guerneville. Great yard for kids and dogs. House has everything you need kayaks, paddle board, life vest, and lots of towels. Kitchen is well stocked for those who love to cook like we do. Host was great at providing all the information needed for our stay. Would definitely rent again.

We were in Guernville during the storms and got to watch the river rise in warm, lovely surroundings. Very close to tow, great river vies and access. Clean well appointed kitchen. Overall, wonderful.

Will I be returning to this property next year? Absolutely! I was happy for the entire duration of my trip! The surrounding views were beautiful. I felt so relaxed and truly blessed. Communication with the owner was easy, the house was very clean, and my daughter was so in love with the house that she asked me if we could stay forever.

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the house. The kitchen is dialed, they have every gadget you can think of, even a food processor and blender. The BBQ grill is awesome. The view from the deck is really peaceful and private. The only thing I didn’t love is the house gets very little sun. Perfect house for your doggie. We went in late September when they removed the dams so the water level was just a couple of inches and few feet in some areas. Nice neighborhood!

We had a lovely relaxing time. Can't wait to book again for a longer stay. Owner is a very good communicator!

I rent a house on the river every year and this house is our favorite! We especially love the big deck by the river and the peddle boat, so fun! The house was so cozy, I loved cooking in the nicely remodeled kitchen enjoying the river views. Such a fun getaway!

This property was so excellent for our extended family and a pet! we loved kayaking on the Russian River, and the zen-like peace of the redwood forest in the area. The home exceeded our expectations in so many ways….it was very thoughtfully provisioned, and convenient to town.

We are happy that we chose this location for vacation. The seasonal dams are in, and plenty of river sport equipment at this home. The house is fully equipped cooking and entertainment. A large balcony overlooking the river. The nights are cool, with very few insects. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. I gave it 5 stars all the way! Mike

Beautiful kitchen, lovely family area... but the best thing of all is the view through the windows of the lovely Russian River. Bedrooms are fine, bathrooms ok, not upgraded but still very cozy after adventuring. The hot tub is perfect, gorgeous Redwood Trees towering. Grateful for our visit.

This is a great place for adults and kids. Amazing access for the river, outfitted for floating and paddling, and a great kitchen. There were so many outdoor and indoor spaces it was easy for everyone to take space and be together. Plenty of room for our toddler to make a mess with toys (and lots were provided at the house). Even black out curtains in two of the bedrooms, which helped with my daughter’s sleeping. All of this nestled in the redwoods! Thanks, Jaysa!

We had such a great week at this home. The inside of the home is comfortable and the outside is wonderful! It has a nice big yard that my kids and dog loved. The riverfront deck was also great to hang out in. Thank you!

We had a great time at this house, which was beautiful in every way. The house itself was immaculate and has a beautiful, open floor plan. There is a deck for meals outside, a hot tub for some warm soaks, and plenty of Kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and tubes for use on the river. The private dock is just steps down the front yard and there is also a lovely deck just above it where we had drinks and snacks in the evenings. It's perfect for adults or families. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to return many times!

I couldn't recommend this property more strongly. It is stunning, with a massive deck overlooking the river, beautiful super hot jacuzzi, seconds long walk down to the beach and river, and minutes away from G'ville center (and yet completely secluded). Jaysa is an examplary super-host., who made everything unbelievably easy, was flexible and kind. Our stay with cut short by less than 24 hours because of the Kincade fires up north and a voluntary evacuation. Jaysa somehow took this as her own shortcoming, though obviously wildfires are not Jaysa's fault, and refunded us for the final night (I wasn't even going to ask), as well as for some taxes on the property, effectively losing money due to an event that in no way reflected on her. Totally ethical, decent and - if anything - underselling this stunning, bucolic home. I hope to return and stay there again with my wife and kids on many occasions in future. Hard to forget such a stunning place, rich with amenities, lovely neighbors - that completely exceeded our expectations.

Would recommend to family and friends

Great place to spend time away. Right on the river, very lovely views and a short hike down to the water right from the property. The kitchen is very well stocked (there is even a burr grinder for coffee!) and there are plenty of games, books, DVDs and other indoor activities for inclement weather. It's easy to warm up the place when it was cold and cool it down when it's hot. It's a short drive into town to grab any necessities. It's definitely a great place for families; our dog loved running down to the water and checking out the ducks. It's not super private or secluded as it is right on the river and across from other houses, but it was still quiet a peaceful and relaxing place to spend a few days. The owner was really excellent, communicating well with us before we arrived and while we were there.

The house was just as advertised: everything worked well, the kitchen was well stocked, the place was spotlessly clean, and four adult males who each needed a separate and comfortable bed were accommodated. Jaysa, the owner, was helpful and prompt in replying to any queries we had. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Our family had a wonderful time here. The Kitchen is one of the nicest ones I've seen, and the heated tile in the bathroom made showers and kids bath time during chilly days a pleasure. The host (Jaysa) is extremely quick to respond to any and all questions/concerns. I wouldn't hesitate about booking again and actually likely will do so during the summer months to enjoy the private river access.

Best kitchen I’ve rented so far. Fully stocked. The place was clean and comfortable with great views of the Russian River. Most important I felt comfortable leaving my dog behind. The yard is fully fenced. The owner Jaysa responded quickly answering any questions we had. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back

My husband and I had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary at the Riverfront Retreat! We especially enjoyed cooking in the well equipped, light and bright remodeled kitchen. Lots of room and counter space for food prep. We also spent time relaxing on the deck with the river view, either for morning tea or evening happy hour. We saw a large egret fly over the river - very cool. Our dog was welcomed and loved wading in the river each day. He’s really not much of a water dog but he wanted to be at the river all the time. It was easy with river access and a private gate. We checked out Armstrong Redwoods State Park and were amazed at the TALL trees and also how peaceful and quiet it was in the park. We were there on a Tuesday in the Fall so very view visitors. The cozy living room with gas fireplace and nice TV were much appreciated for watching sports. Thank you Jaysa for your hospitality!
