Overall we had a great stay! The good: Hot tub was awesome, clean and was great to sit in after a long day of skiing. The beds were reasonably comfortable/clean. Each room had a thermostat which was great. The house was big which was nice for togetherness and alone time as needed. The house is right next to Ski Brule at a much more reasonable rate than their offered lodging. The "bad": as mentioned in previous reviews the furniture is pretty beat up but honestly not that bad. The carpet was really stained (which made me a little nervous about overall cleanliness), the sauna door doesn't seal so wasn't really worth turning on, some of the non stick kitchen pans were scratched so bad I felt uncomfortable cooking on them. We did have a great stay though and with a little extra planning on our part we would absolutely stay again. The hosts are nice and so is the caretaker. The view from all the windows was absolutely lovely and it was very quiet. I would absolutely recommend to any group of folks traveling to Ski Brule.

We had a smaller group and had some friends come over for dinners from another cottage. We made the second level our gathering area. As you can read in some other reviews - the furniture on the second level is terrible. The three couches all are very uncomfortable, and so is the easy chair. we actually brought in a few lawnchairs from my van to use, and we brought up the wooden benches from the lower level kitchen instead of sitting on the couches. I usually don't like to leave negative reviews, and I understand the cottages here get used and abused.....maybe this review will motivate the owners to take the couches to the curb.

The size and arrangement of sleeping was great. All of the beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The second floor furniture is, to say the least, worn but more like broken down. The couches and chair were nearly unusable. Regardless we have booked for next year and look forward to returning.

There's a reason we come back year after year. The house works for our group, the property owners are responsive and kind and the location can't be beat.

This property was beautiful and quiet. My family was able to have our own spaces and still spend time together. Beds were so comfortable and this was an amazing get away.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was well-stocked with any cooking utensil you may need, the place was clean & the saunas & hot tub were a huge hit with our crew!

Absolutely lovely time at Nordic Haus! Plenty of beds and bedrooms for the cousins to bunk together upstairs, parents stayed on the main level, and grandparents had their own bathroom/kitchen/living room setup downstairs. Hot tub was big and clean, too. Only wish we would have been informed that the ski hill closed on day two of our six day stay. Came to ski and only got to try one day. Make sure you dig around on the Ski Brule website before booking!

We love the Nordic Haus. Plenty of room. Comfy beds. Great hot tub for after skiing all day. Beautiful views. Deer in the yard. Very Close to Skiing. We did miss the outside fire pit this year. This is definitely a great place to stay :)

Another great weekend at the Nordic Haus. Great stay and the property was in great shape.

Very comfortable with all necessary components. Very easy check in, well stocked kitchen for rental, lots of clean comfortable beds and towels, nice hot tub. Only critique is the couches and chairs are very broken in and feels if you are sitting on the ground on most of them. (One new one downstairs!) Otherwise beautiful rustic charm, and you can not beat the location to ski hill.

The house is clean, spacious, very close to ski Brule. Can use the ski Brule shuttle to pick you up & bring you back. We used the hot tub & sauna daily. Beautiful view from the deck & hot tub. So serene. Loved it & plan to return next year.

Alison was very responsive, the house has a lot of room with 3 levels to spread out and plenty of places to sleep. The furnishings are quite dated but the beds are pretty comfortable. It’s very close to Ski Brule and we loved the hot tub!

The Nordic Haus was clean, tidy, and great for our group of 8- and we could have easily packed more people in. We all loved the hot tub on the balcony surrounded by snowy trees. We had an excellent time skiing at ski Brule and also did some fat tire biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the area. Some good restaurants nearby- recommend Alice’s and Riverside pizza.

Great location for skiing the hill. House is roomy, beds are comfortable, we’ll stocked and we really enjoyed the new hot tub! The owners are really great, quickly responsive to questions or requests!

The chalet has plenty of room for a large group and is located right down the road from the ski hill.

Nordic Haus is a very spacious and well maintained chalet. We enjoyed our stay and well worth the value.

I have stayed at Nordic Haus a number of times, and would highly recommend it! It's such an open place, with plenty of room for hanging out, playing games, eating, etc.

We had a bad experience at a different rental and had to make a change with little notice. These owners did their very best to get the house ready for us as quickly as possible. We absolutely loved this place! Lots of room, and the hot tub was enjoyed very much. I would stay here again!

Very clean, but well used. Needs updating.

This property was great! Loved having 2 kitchens, floors are well insulated so you couldn't hear between floors and everyone could sleep comfortably with their own space. The hot tub was a great ending to the day.

We had a wonderful time at this house as our base for a ski trip for 2 families. The hot tub was the perfect end to each day. The kitchens were well stocked for making breakfast and dinner. Bedrooms are comfy as well.

The chalet was perfect for our family! We had a blast celebrating my 60th birthday! 16 of us were comfortable in the house, although we are very low maintenance. Two small bathrooms was a little challenging, but a good excuse not to shower!

After two year hiatus our group was excited to be back at Brule and the Nordic Haus. Allison and Brian are great host and always are a pleasure to work with. We really appreciated the updates that have occurred over the last couple of years. The group had a blast and we are already looking forward to next years trip.

The house had plenty of room for our large group! All of the beds were super comfy and LOVED the plaid sheets! It made it for a real rustic feel! Lots of amenities which was nice. Furnishings were defiantly from the 80’s. Felt like the same place as when I stayed when I was a kid. A Very “retro” feel. Hot tub and kitchen was up to date though! Wi-if speed was really good too!!

We have always enjoyed staying here when we come up skiing at Ski Brule. Its a short distance to the slopes. This place has plenty of room for our family. It generally has all the cooking utensils between the two kitchens. There was a new hot tub this year. :) This is a great place to stay!! Its always our first choice if available.
