I didn’t. When I booked, it did not say that this hotel was under renovation and that the pool was unavailable, and that several rooms were being worked on, and there was only a limited amount of rooms to rent.

There was a rain storm and water was pouring into my hotel room, soaking the window ledge, the air conditioning unit and the carpet when I asked to get moved to another room I was told housekeeping would just clean it up in the morning

We did not end up staying at the property. After we arrived we were told that the pool was closed for construction. Monte or Montay is who I spoke with at the desk as he walked away stating he had to use the restroom mid conversation.

I was told I would get my full refund on two separate occasions to they even spoke with the property and it was confirmed that it was under construction and I still have not received my refund. I’m furious that now I have to dispute this with my bank.

The location in conjunction to where we needed to commute to each day was great.

The property was under renovation, and honestly, it shouldn’t have been opened back up until the renovations were complete. The floor that we stayed on, which was the bottom floor, was in disarray. Wallpaper peeling off the walls everywhere, room numbers written on the walls, reaked of the smell of marijuana and occasional cigarette smoke. Although our room wasn’t too bad, it lacked proper lighting and there was no vanity with the sink, which made it very hard to use daily toiletries with ease. The toilet ran non-stop, and one morning the floor was all wet where it had either leaked out or sweat enough to leave pools of water. The staff did not speak proper English and were very hard to understand. The website stated their pool was open, but when we arrived, there was a sign that stated “under renovations, pool closed”. Most of the families that booked this hotel for our weekend dance competition booked for the purpose of the swimming pool, only to find out it was closed. Very disappointing to say the least. There were a couple families that ended up leaving and staying somewhere else because the amenities were terrible. Very disappointed!

The breakfast was a little slow and behind. Needed the person to come out and check on the foods, you were out of scrambled eggs.

Breakfast was delicious, but the staff to cook another dish, such as scrambled eggs, bacon, etc., took forever after the container was empty. We were waiting for new scrambled eggs for at least 15 minutes.

We don't appreciate the receptionist with inappropriate clothes, no name tag, and leaving her dog outside in the car at the front entrance (along with a fan inside and the extension cords between the vehicle and inside the entrance hall. It was very distracted. The room was muggy, with not enough air conditioning.

The bed was very comfortable.

First impressions mean a lot. When we drove onto the property, the pavement is in need of repair. Around the whole complex, up to the entry door, weeds were up to 3 feet high. If you didn't know better, you would think the hotel was abandoned. We had to request a bedspread since there was only a top sheet on the king bed. The coffee being served was some of the worst tasting coffee I've ever had. There was no fresh fruit out for breakfast and both toasters only worked on one side causing quite a backup waiting to make toast or toaster waffles.
