This was not what I was expecting. It was very run down and I did not feel safe. There was no breakfast facilities that were advertised.

Staff was friendly. Due to health issues we needed a first floor room . I called ahead and they accommodated my request. We were appreciative of the help. As always with reviews, I am hesitant of them…so I read to see if I can live with what the reviewer find as negative aspects. The recent reviews posted were pretty spot on. The location was great, beds and pillows comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The outside looked fine and well kept. There were ample towels. Yes, the soap is a bit rough, the folks upstairs seem to stomp when they walk and the shower next door could be heard in the bathroom. No of these things were issues for us. Honestly the only issue we had was the light bulb near the tub and shower was burnt out. I could have called the office but we just dealt with it as we were tired. I would stay here again.

Location

Location was great, close to Old Orchard Beach and to Portland. Right off Route 1 but in a quiet neighborhood around houses. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff we interacted with were pleasant and polite. Breakfast was simple, few cereals and fruit available.

Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided but not greatest quality. Not really an issue if you bring your own. Area in general tends to have expensive rates in summer.

I loved the handicapped room. The owner was so kind to help me with my bags as I had just had a medical procedure and was in pain. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. It was so spacious and clean.

The extra blanket from the closet needs a washing that gets rid of old smoke odor, even though the room was a non smoking area. I appreciated the non smoking area.

The owner was so kind to help me unload my bags as I had just had a medical procedure and was in extreme pain. He also placed me in a handicapped room which was so helpful as I walk with a crutch and have balance and pain issues. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud.

I did use a blanket that was in the closet. This blanket smelled like smoke, even though my rental was a non smoking area. I know the owner must be extremely busy, but the blanket needs a wash that gets rid of smoke odor.

Manager was friendly. Fantastic location. Secure and very convenient.

The carpet desperately needs to be replaced! Terribly worn out and smells bad.
