Das Motel war super. Sehr zu empfehlen. Personal sehr freundlich. Parkplätze vor dem Haus Haus und hinter dem Haus. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Es gibt eine Kaffeemaschine auf dein Zimmer. Alles bestens. Die Lage ist sehr gut. In ca 15 Minuten gibt es einen Zustieg zum hop on hop off Bus. Die Gegend ist sehr sicher. Das mexikanische Restaurant Blanco können wir sehr empfehlen. Auf jeden Fall reservieren.

Nice location for the parade

The accessible room had a lot of flaws. The shower was roll in but no shelf or anything to place soap and shampoo. The coffee machine was up too high to be used except by able bodied. Only six parking spaces for 10 rooms, and only one disabled space for two accessible rooms. We had to park a block away. Ridiculously low value for the price. We will not be returning.

Beautiful room, very compact, but it had everything we needed. Great location, close to beach and cafes.

Cute little spot, central to everything. Nice walk to either side of the island.

Bed was a little hard for our taste, but not bad.

small rooms with the 2 queens, no place to hang wet towels, TV would not shut off and we had to disconnect the power cable. WiFi didn’t always work.

I stayed at the El Rancho Motel for 4 nights and I would gladly recommend this facility to anyone who is in the area. I will absolutely be staying here again! My stay on Coronado was actually for an event at the Convention Center across the harbor in San Diego - this motel was within walking distance to the ferry terminal, many restaurants, a market, and some local shops. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and overall it was a lovely place to stay. Additionally, the front desk staff was very friendly and had my room prepared well in advance of my arrival. I was able to check in early which I was very grateful for as my flight came in earlier in the day. Lastly, this location is close to the airport and easy to find - about a 15 minute car ride. It is also close to the convention center - about a 10 minute car ride. All of this makes this a prime location if you want something laid back and with great value and location.

My only complaint about this is the shower. I'm only about 5'3" but the shower heads are located very high up. The shower head also did not have much room to adjust and at its current height sprayed directly into my face if I didn't stand on my tip toes the whole time. Not a deal breaker, but having the shower head be at least slightly more adjustable would be great :) One other thing to keep in mind is this is located right off of a busy road so there is quite a bit of traffic sound. I didn't mind it personally but it could be obnoxious to a light sleeper.

Vintage, comfortable, clean, good location for us. Meets our needs for a place to stay in Coronado. Not fancy. Good coffee.
