Our space is part 1788 and part 21st century. The 1788 bed/bath space was perfect for parents and their young adults; the outdoors staircase for 1788 is for luggage and its indoors spiral staircase is for everything else. The 21st century bed/bath space was great for grandparents and their son and daughter in law. On the main floor, the 2 kitchens melded together. The seating area and dining table in the 21st century space was perfect for 8 adults lounging, eating and playing cards. The neighborhood is full of restaurants. We highly recommend The Grocery and Bistronomy. We went a block over to King Street for ice cream in the evening and it was hopping with young people. The parking worked well. We walked to events as far as Calhoun Street, drove to those south of Calhoun, and later walked to the Market. The space and location are perfect…quiet but near the “action”. Miki explained everything so clearly to just the grandparents, that the others coming later had no need to contact them during our stay.

Our large group fit easily into this space. We had a great time and the hosts were awesome!

10 of us enjoyed a birthday weekend with friends. Great location, would stay again.

The property is located in a nice area of downtown Charleston and has parking available for 2 cars. We rented 6-bedroom unit for a family reunion for 3 days but did not enjoy our stay because of couple of reasons. First, the description makes it sound like it is a single home but in reality, it is a combination of 2 separate units that are not connected in the upstairs area where bed rooms are located.Second, It is hard for seniors to go up and down the stairs specially at night when it is dark. Some of the bed rooms are quite small.

Property is in a great location within a short walk of multiple restaurants, etc. Interior is renovated, with ample TVs and an house wide sound system. Floors are original wood. Extensive kitchen and bar areas. Very comfortable for large groups, but only one bedroom on first floor. Bedrooms are nicely appointed, but slighty small as would be expected with an older home. We enjoyed the mostly private outdoor area and seating. The landscaping and lighting in entry area provides a pretty, relaxing and safe environment.

This house is so beautiful! The beds are insanely comfortable and the hosts are the sweetest people! Definitely will be back!

Comfortable, well appointed, great location, great relaxing courtyard. We had so much fun celebrating a family wedding. We enjoyed exploring the town and time staying in and enjoying the family room watching some football. Thanks!

It had all the accommodations to fit 9 gals, great beds, nice bathrooms, conversation pieces all over, enough supplies to last up to a week. The court area outside was so relaxing and a great place to talk and have cocktails. Easy access to downtown by walking or taking the hop on/hop off bus. If you come by car, great parking in court yard. Chuck and Miki are so easy to talk to, very nice couple. They did a great job overall on doing this property to accommodate vacationers like us. Thank you for a great place for our annual get together.

Fantastic location for a big group - we had 9 of us and it worked well. Had some issues with the fire alarm our first night and Chuck came over immediately and got it fixed which we really appreciated. Great communication too.

Our family of 8 were more than comfortable at this home. Beautifully renovated and roomy. Two parking spaces and within walking distance to Kings street. We had a great visit!

The property was very clean & comfortable.It had an open floor plan that allowed for people to spread out & gather in large or small groups in the living room, entertainment room, kitchen, or smaller sitting room. The table seats 10 people which was perfect for us.The neighborhood felt safe and the location was close to downtown restaurants, visitor's center, and the city market. Would stay here again.

Amazing property, interiors and ammenities. 1 block away from King Street. Best positioned for night life which made walking at night convenient. 5-10 minute Uber for areas more east/closer to the water. We had trouble figuring out the built-in sound system, and the host answered my message and came over to address within 10 minutes. Would stay again! There are 2 bedrooms above the modern stair case (the 2 master bedrooms). There are 3 bedrooms above the winding staircase. They are completely separated/cannot access all 5 upstairs bedrooms when you’re upstairs. There is 1 bedroom on main floor. All bathrooms are fresh and really nice. Be mindful when cooking - the overhead vent is not that strong. Had a wonderful stay and would love to return.

The house was plenty big for 10 guests. It had six bedrooms, so all of our guests had plenty of privacy. It was very clean, and it was in a good location. We would definitely stay there again.

Our 11 person family group stayed six nights in this lovely updated house steps away from King Street. Bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Ample parking space and nice, bright home with large windows. We especially liked the large and well-stocked kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all updated and comfortable. Would absolutely come back!

We were 6 NYC moms celebrating 50th birthdays for a long weekend. The apartment was perfect. Miki and Chuck were wonderful hosts on check-in. The apartment is beautiful and charming, beds comfortable, everything is clean. We loved the upstairs porch. Location was perfect to walk to everything. If you're not used to walking you may find the waterfront a bit far but it didn't bother us. We also discovered Browns Court Bakery 2 doors down and enjoyed their delicious pastries each morning for breakfast. Can't wait to come back to Charleston.

We visited Charleston for a family wedding at the end of April and wanted to place where my husband and I could be together with our three adult kids and their partners. This place was PERFECT! Even better than expected and the location was the best. I had questioned if we should have been closer to the south end of Charleston but our location what exactly what I was looking for. We walked to amazing restaurants, bars, and were steps away (literally) from a bakery/coffee shop that we visited every morning. We were a block from King Street and walked daily enjoying the numerous shops and restaurants. We loved the dive bar in our neighborhood and also the local pizza place for amazing lunchtime pizza. The property owners were delightful and accommodating and were incredibly easy to work with. They are adding on to the property so that even larger groups can rent here. I would definitely recommend staying here and bringing a group. A perfect way to experience Charleston!

This property is in a perfect location for exploring all that the Charleston peninsula has to offer. There's so many amazing places located right near this property. We rented bikes from a shop around the corner, enjoyed pastries from the next door bakery, grabbed a nearby coffee at the local coffee shop, and enjoyed the bar next door. Also, this house is a short drive from Folly Beach so we were able to enjoy that, too. Aside from it's location, it's nicely appointed. We loved having two balconies to enjoy! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the downstairs bathroom is nicely remodeled. Highly recommend staying here!

The home was amazing! Very clean and modern appliances. A quick 2 minute walk to king street with a bunch of shops and restaurants. Host couple was very kind and accommodating to any questions. Cannot recommend enough!

This property is exactly as pictured. Updated historic home sleeps a large group comfortably. A quick walk to King Street and a 30 -40 minute walk mansions, marketplace, waterfront. Simply an excellent location. Landlord was easy to work with and was responsive to questions. Highly recommended.

The house was great and we loved not needing a car for much of our stay. It was within walking distance to everything, but being at the back of the driveway, it was super quiet so we got great sleep. Best part was no one fell down the spiral staircase!
