Really clean and comfortable rooms, different set up to what I’m used to but all in all highly recommended. Great location.

The sea view from the room was superb. The bed was comfy & the room size was good.

Unfortunately I did not read all the information before I booked, so what not aware that I would have to make up the bed, that towels come at an extra charge (£1 each) Parking permit was £1, No TV and as the hotel is eco friendly, if you do not clean up after yourselves, i.e. wipe down the bathroom, strip the bed, empty the bins etc. there are charges for these as well. I also did not realise that £30 deposit is also required, so that any cleaning expenses/parking etc. that is required post your departure will be covered (you do get this refunded very quickly if no charges are applicable)

The view from the window was Old Scarborough from above. The front of the house was North bay with the swells rolling in every fifteen seconds. Other features were spartan but functional.

The Herring Gulls are not endangered at all! They've all moved to Scarborough and took up Avian Opera.

The view was fantastic, location was great, close to all attractions and town.

All the extra cleaning required after the cost of a basic room. Then worry if anything wasn't at the standard they expect so would get charged for it from the deposit.

The location cannot be faulted. Right on the North Bay. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower was clean. The self check in was very straightforward. I found contacting the host easy. WiFi signal was spot on. Streamed film on my phone no problem. It was actually refreshing not having to listen to other people's T.V's blaring from other rooms! No t.v makes for peace and quiet if that's what you want. The option to bring own towel and bedding was very eco friendly and like the host says keeps the room cost down.

Putting my own bedding on and taking it off. Having to take my own rubbish or be charged £3. £1 to rent a towel. The policy I read said I needed to clean the room myself or leave money to cover what I hadn't cleaned, for example £1 to hoover the floor, £1 to wipe the sides. If I didn't leave enough I'd be charged an admin fee. Okay but then I believe there should be a staff nember there to agree the fee with me on leaving. I felt I had to leave extra to avoid the fee and hassle of this. Also because of this I didn't feel I could trust the room had been thoroughly cleaned, as I was trusting the occupants before me. The hotel took extra money out of my account as a deposit, it was returned though. I didn't like the smell of the hallway. I didn't find the hotel welcoming or helpful.

You get what you pay for, bed was comfty and everything worked fine witha great view. You have to clean up to avoid extra fees, which is what makes the price cheaper. The host was understanding when I needed to add an extra guest while I was there. If you're in the same situation have somebody else over make sure to contact the host before hand to avoid penalty fee 😉🙂 thanks, maybe visit again in future.
