The beach was a short distance away and while we planned to spend most of our time at the beach, the weather didn't cooperate! We spent time with each other in the house and on the screened in porch enjoying the cool, wet rainy days. Nearby family would pop in for visits. We did a day trip to Boston and when the sun made an appearance we enjoyed the pier, the beach, and a day at Fun Town. We created many lasting memories at this cozy cottage.

Very convenient! Great location. Kitchen well equipped. We contacted David for a little problem and he did respond quickly and done his best to resolve the problem. We enjoyed living there for 9 nights and would certainly return.

Very quaint, rooms on the smaller side but met our needs. House was very clean!! Walking distance to Old Orchard Beach and not far from other attractions.

We found everything was as advertised upon arrival! Definitely would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Old orchard beach!

David's home was perfect for our family vacation. I stayed with my daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren, ages 1 -9. Everyone had a great time. This home is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, but an easy walk to the beautiful beach and Pier area.. The train goes through several times a day but was not disruptive at all, in fact it was a big hit with the little boys! OOB has a fantastic family atmosphere. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable for the week and David is extremely responsive to any questions. I would love to stay here again.

Property nice and clean. Close to tracks though. Could use a few updates, ie, toilet seat,tub, some paint in a few places? Small rooms. Great owner communications and owner was flexible for us.

Very nice place. It was fully stocked. Very cozy place close to beach and not far from the pier or the activities in the area . We would definitely stay at this house again.

Since we had had correspondence with the owner we felt pretty comfortable. It was a great place and an enjoyable experience.

This property had everything we as a family could have needed and wanted. The location was perfect for a family. A short walk to the beach (which was beautiful) made it easy to go to without driving. The house is also just far enough away from the car and pedestrian traffic that was on the main roads. We were able to walk to the pier, downtown and attractions with no effort. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked with the comforts of home. We were able to have family dinners around the table and able to cook a meal easily with the grill and fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were small, but enough room to be comfortable and very functional. The living room provided us a great place to congregate on the one day we had rain and we were able to sign into our Hulu and relax comfortably. The owners had excellent communication with us. I cant say enough about Fern Avenue. We would definitely stay here again for all of the conveniences it provided along with the quiet that we were able to experience. It's a great place for families that want to be close to everything, but just off the beaten path. Tha is for an incredible vacation!

There was one problem during the week which David took care of super quickly and we were really happy with the response. The location of this property was great - no more than five minutes to the beach! We had a wonderful time while in Old Orchard Beach. The house was comfortable and clean. The rooms are all rather small - difficult for a larger group of people to assemble in one room (We had six adults and two young children with us). The front porch was a favorite place to be - lots of windows and a nice breeze. The yard space is also limited. Overall, we had a terrific time!

Everything about the house was great and exactly as described. The bedrooms are small but we didn’t find that to be a problem at all. Plenty of room for my husband and I and our 4 children. Unfortunately there was a mouse which the owners were very quick to remedy. It’s an old charming home and things like that happen! Otherwise we were very happy with the home.

This was a cute house to stay in. It was cozy ! Although if going to stay here or you have to bring regular towels, hand towels, buy toilet paper, Bring your own sheets Etc.... The walk to the beach wasn’t very far! The living room was cozy with its oversized couches. Everything was very clean

We had a nice vacation & this home was good for accommodating 7 people The rooms a little small but no problem for just a week The walk to the beach was not too far - just had to load up chairs & toys in car & drop off All in all a great place to stay Thank you

This is a very cute house, but the rooms are much smaller than the pictures and difficult for more than 6 people to be comfortable. Bedrooms are very small! Location is nice and it was clean when we arrived.
