We enjoyed the accommodations. Close to where we wanted to be in the East Bay.

The odd layout and back-garden access aside, this unit has all you need except a cooktop, including a large closet and a sitting area. Good heater in main area. We stayed 7 nights. Thoughtful host has provided a lot of small extras. Unit is very quiet despite its busy location. Walk to excellent grocery stores, Trader Joe, specialty markets (meat, produce, wine, bakeries). Walk 3 blocks to BART station for a magic carpet to San Francisco and the airports. You could easily stay here a while without a car. Host is responsive to issues. Parking at $10 a day extra is well worth it, but be advised you access it down a long, narrow driveway, so backing out takes a bit of skill. TV service (for me) with no cable was technically unusable. Best to plan on streaming TV to your iPad or laptop.

Right off a busy street but you wouldn’t know it. The cottage is small and quiet-perfect for two. The bed was comfortable. The little courtyard right outside the house was perfect for our dog. The property is well lit.

The perfect place for a couple. Just around the corner from 4 coffee houses, groceries, restaurants, boutiques. Lots of room to stretch out, super comfy bed, good shower, well supplied with everything we needed. Hope to return.

The cottage was cozy and quiet, tucked behind the main house. Everything needed was there. It is in walking distance to restaurants and shops, surrounded by a quaint neighborhood. It is close to a BART station. And Chris was a great host.

Only problem - and serious - was the lack of cable TV service. Very limited TV availability.

This was a clean, quiet, and safe space for us to cocoon in after fast visits with friends and family. The space is small, but entirely adequate and well-appointed. We'll definitely be back.

The place is clean and organized. The neighborhood is safe and on a excellent location: 5 min walking to ROCKRIDGE BART STATION! You can easily find good restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores around the block. + Chris is a great host and the communication with him it’s easy and fast.

We were in the area to see a concert in Berkeley. This location was perfect for our needs. It was less than two miles walking distance to the show, very close within walking distance to all restaurants & cafes (and Trader Joes) and most importantly is was safe and very quiet. There is lots of hustle and bustle going on around the neighborhood, but this place. is tucked away behind all the noise and is incredibly quiet. We also were provided with onsite parking for a little extra fee which was totally worth it. Thank you for this great place!!

Chris' cottage is a quiet little spot in a busy, interesting walkable area. The cottage has everything you need and Chris is very responsive. A nice little gem in the heart of Rockridge!

I stayed there to visit my daughter at UC Berkeley. It was safe and clean. Chris’s was very helpful, I wil definitely stay there again

This is a wonderful cottage for a couple. Half a block from a very lively area with groceries, restaurants, bakery etc and yet very quiet. The host is great, responds promptly to concerns and check in was easy. This is our second stay here and will be coming back!

Super property and near transit, shops, easy access to Berkeley campus.

Comfortable and very well located. Could really use a few more simple amenities (box of tissues, soap in the shower, ice cube trays, a few more hangers, step stool). Had trouble with the entry door (lock was fine but door was stuck and VERY hard to open - my partner would never have been able to open the door by herself!). Microwave on top of refrigerator and pillows on upper shelf of closet are not accessible to someone under 5’5”! Washer/dryer is nice addition. Security lighting around property was helpful and appreciated.

Easy access to BART, right by all of the wonderful offerings of Rockridge, and not far from Elmwood and Berkeley. Would definitely stay again!

Chris’ place was awesome! The apartment was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Close to public transportation, groceries, cafes! There were many motion-activated security lights around the outside property, which made us feel very safe. Chris was very responsive with messaging!

This back house is so cute. It looked small from the outside but, it feels spacious inside. We were so pleasantly surprised w the accommodations. The owner thought of everything. There are info sheets on the walls. One lists nearby eateries and things that would be good to know during your stay. The other has directions on how to use the coffee maker. The welcome email also provides info on towels. Sheets. What to expect. How to access the property. And also the owners cell number in case of emergency or needing something. There’s also a basket w house slipper left to wear since it’s a shoe free home. I’ll definitely book this spot again if it’s available when I come to visit my daughter.

A short walk/Lyft to shopping, dining and entertainment. Keyless entry was convenient. Strongly recommend upgrading the bedding and bath towels.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chris' cottage. We love the Rockridge area, and all the amenities that we needed were there. We're originally from the Bay Area, and look forward to staying here when we are back visiting.

The little cottage was very neat and clean, off the street in a quiet courtyard. Everything that we needed was provided. The only downside was that the double bed was a little small for two adults, but there was a futon available as well.

Shops, restaurants, transportation just steps away……….

I enjoyed staying here! The cottage was charming and even though it is near lots of restaurants & stores, it was quiet & peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.
