If you are looking for an authentic French country accommodation, this is the right place for you. The accommodation is an original building that has been converted into single rooms with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen is shared. Outside you have a private parking space and a lounge area. The small village is located far away from any noisy road, so you can sleep with windows open and won’t be disturbed. The breakfast ist im included. We had coffee and tea, fresh croissants and baguette, 3 sorts of selfmade marmelade, ham, local cheese and a local cake.

Très bon accueil dans cette chambre d'hôtes. Venu en famille avec 2 enfants, tout était conforme à nos attentes, à proximité du Futuroscope : un emplacement vraiment idéal, retiré de la ville et si proche de ce parc! Le petit déjeuner était très varié, avec des produits locaux, très qualitatifs (pour les grands et les petits). Le rapport qualité/prix est donc parfait.

Bedding is very tired. Poor quality mattress. No closet or anything to hang clothes.

This is a lovely place to stay! I made an overnight stop on my way from Calais to Bordeaux and the location is perfect - quiet and very comfortable. Nadine made me feel very welcome and between my French (basic) and her English (better), she was happy to answer all my questions. Chabournay is a small farming village so eating out means a car journey, but this wasn't a problem for me. There's a supermarket and a cheap petrol station within a 15-minute drive. Anyone with mobility issues should ask for a ground-floor room as the stairs are steep and open with only a single handrail. Breakfast was delicious with lots of local produce - what more could you ask for? Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

The en-suite facilities are probably due a refurbishment but still perfectly acceptable.

The host Nadine was absolutely fantastic, catering to whatever needs we had.The setting is amazing and the rooms were perfectly comfortable for our overnight stay. Breakfast was very good with a range of fresh local produce on offer. The rooms were clean with all the facilities we required.
