Exactly what we needed. Clean, comfortable, good beds. Location made for a nice walk (or short tram ride) to everything we wanted to see. Martijn was a great host. We especially appreciated him allowing an early drop-off of bags and then taking our VERY heavy bags up the stairs for us before we returned. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a very clean and pristine little apartment. The host lives right below, so that makes the check-in process easy. The beds are very comfortable and bigger than I thought they would be- one room has a king and the other seems like a queen. There is one full bathroom with a tub and separate shower and one 1/2 bath in the hall by the entrance door. This was very workable in our group of 4 (2 couples). The kitchen had coffee available and a little area with seating but it is really not for cooking at home if that is what you are looking for. It was not a big deal to us because we were out everyday and only came home to sleep and shower. I will say the stairs are serious business. They are steep and plentiful (54 in all). Now maybe 54 sounds easy, but lugging suitcases (thankfully the host brought ours up) and the actual boards being so narrow and spiral in a way, it was tough. Be aware. You will need a breather after coming up and check your heart rate coming down because they are steep. The apartment is quite a ways out from the heart of the city and the canals make for a bit of a walk to get around, but the busses and trains help. All in all, it was a great stay. The place was spotless and we loved that!

We had a great time at Martijn‘s apartment. It is spacious and was completely sufficient for our needs. The location is very central, basically everything (especially the city center) is in walking distance. Martijn is super friendly and always replied shortly. I would definitely book again. Everything was comfy- especially the beds! We slept absolutely fantastic. Enough towels were provided and the surrounding of the flat is very quiet

Our experience was wonderful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within about 20 min and the walk was beautiful with all the canals and the amazing neighborhoods. The apartment is spacious for 2 people and designed very well. The beds were soft and we loved having the windows open to have the cool breeze. The stairs are steep and short in depth but not a problem even with a big bag, just go slow. It's so charming overall and I would recommend this space for anyone visiting the area.

This is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam. Walkable to all the major sites, with convenient nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Just note, this is an attic apartment with very steep steps and there is no stovetop.

Very nice, clean little apartment. The host was very helpful in bringing our heavy luggage up and down the stairs. There are 4 flights of narrow, steep, curving stairs, not for the elderly. You have a great view of the adjacent canal. We would stay again.

Good. Lots of narrow stairs, love the location. Beds very comfortable. Helpful host, could use more coffee. Only 2 pods for 4 people, 2 nights booked. Very cute place. I loved the windows, the decor.

Loved staying here. Great location - quiet neighbourhood overlooking a canal. All the amenities you could need are here and it’s a great light-filled and airy space. Martijn also let us leave our bags there in the morning before check in, which was awesome after a long flight.

I was only there for two days but the place was perfection. It was in a great location. Far away from the chaos but close enough to get to it. Our host was friendly and accommodating. Would 100% stay there again.

The apartment is nice though away from the hustle and bustle, host is very friendly. Two bathrooms was a plus! We loved the narrow twisting staircase (not all would, we joked that our parents would not be able to get up and down the stairs) overall a nice and quiet spot

The location of this flat was perfect for proximity for walking and also public transportation. The flat was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was lovely and quiet. Martin was responsive, kind, and helpful. I loved staying here.

We were there for the King’s birthday. The property was clean, quiet, simple and comfortable. Martin was friendly & gracious and made it clear he would make himself himself available if we had questions or problems. Be ready for 90 steep, winding, narrow Amsterdam stairs! We were ready, & took only overnight bags.

Our family really enjoyed the well-appointed, quiet and conveniently located upper apartment. Everything we needed was there, and Martijn was very helpful (especially when we needed to stash our luggage). Martijn was very communicative and helpful. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for a week stay. Easy to walk to many places and right next to the canals, stocked with plenty of coffee and tea, plus a washer for laundry. The stairs gave it extra charm.

The host was great in helping us with our luggage up the ‘Amsterdam stairs’. He was quick to respond to our enquiries. The shower took a little bit of fiddling to work and you tend to get water everywhere. There is a TV in bedroom but not living area. Clean appartment.

We really enjoyed our stay and if we come back we will definitely book again. Host was very nice and the location was perfect. Just a short walk to the center. It was everything we were looking for.

Comfortable and cozy place just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. Small place with cozy beds perfect if you just need a comfy place to sleep at night while touring the stunning city. Easily walkable to the Dam Square with several great places to eat nearby. The stairs are no joke, pack accordingly and be ready to trek it up some steep steps, but it’s worth the trek. The host is quick to respond and great to communicate with. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it to any small groups looking for a quite place to get a good rest while visiting the great city
