Lovely big modern room,, very clean, good facilities and comfortable bed. It was nice to be able to control the heating in the room too.

We were in Room 2 on the ground floor and a lot of noise came from the entrance/exit door to the rooms.....really loud banging every time it was used. It would be better with a hinge to close slowly.

Great place to stay Very nice pub attached opposed to brewer’s fayre etc… prices slightly more but worth it! Rooms very clean and spotless. Excellent parking.

The room and bed were extremely comfortable with good towels.

The scottish breakfast my husband had was very good, but I made the mistake of ordering an Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The whole lot was smothered in a revolting yellow glutinous sauce which was impossible to scrape off. At the bottom was a muffin, apparently made of leather thatI was unable to eat. I should have asked for a simple smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on toast, which I would have much preferred. It was probably the most sickly,revolting breakfastI have ever had. The photos of this accommodation make it look like you are going to a traditional country pub,but it is more modern that that.

The room its self was beautiful. The decor was lovely and the bed was really comfortable

Upon check in I was told that my work friend who was joining me had to check in for 11 or wouldn’t be able to stay as that’s when “the receptionist was going home” even though my work mate didn’t finish work until 11:30 and then would have to travel to the hotel which would take half an hour! Then I went for food and the staff were so rude ! I even heard them talking about customers badly in my earshot. I waited 15 minutes for my drink and felt like a complete inconvenience the entire time I was there . The rooms are not sound proofed to…. There must have been a group of kids on the floor above me as the amount of banging coming from above my head was DEAFENING! Because of this I barely slept. It was a complete waiste of money . Which is a shame as I thought we had found a regular hotel for my self and my work mates .

Goede locatie, Edinburgh goed bereikbaar met de bus, mooie moderne kamer, heerlijk ontbijt in sfeervol restaurant.

Our web expectations for the hotel in general were good, although we found details of lack of cleanliness in one of the rooms; the price seemed very high compared to others of the same level in Manchester and Liverpool. The bad experience was in the restaurant with the staff of There, it was very unpleasant, not at all friendly and rude, they made us very unfortunate at breakfast on the first day. We will not return there

Liked the fact that it was just outside Edinburgh but not too far.

Avoid going out of the hotel and right onto the main road in the mornings and evenings. Turn left - much easier.

It is convenient to get to. It has parking with easy access to Edinburgh by bus. It is clean & comfortable, staff are friendly & has a lovely pub for breakfasts & dinner if you choose.

It is very comfortable but Wi-Fi access isn’t always the best (it drops out) & would be nice to have extras like a gym.

Staff were friendly, food was good and service was excellent. The room was clean, tidy and very much value for money.

I asked for the top floor in online check in much in advance due to sensitivity of mankind sound inside building. And allow any midtern re-distribution of my 5 days appointment. However, the receiptor consisited that no top room even one date within 5 days was available for me. Same as my expecting, at 11pm and 6am, there was unsatndable noise from upper floor room. I could not calm myself down in that room to carry out my daily study and even fall asleep quietly. Sorry for this negative comment but it's true.

Almost everything including not timely clearing of room, not included expensive breakfast, remote distance from city center, some unfair treatment as one Asian girl.

Courteous and attentive staff and the food quality was excellent.

Poor ventilation in room which got stuffy. Unable to open the windows. Ideal for overnight, lacking storage for a longer stay.

There was good choices for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and spotless.

No hot water in the morning. Bed was very firm and uncomfortable for me personally.

Rooms were modern,clean and tidy,coffee and couple of standard biscuits in room. can’t complain overall, I would stay again if I’m the area.

Duvet not thick enough for me, just a personal thing though, maybe others like that. having said that room temp wasn’t too bad so I wasn’t cold enough for it to be a big issue. Although not part of the hotel, I had the worst pizza ever at the pub next door, service was also not good . However , Breakfast the next morning was a much better experience ,great choice of food and beverages to start the day!. food was tasty and service good.
