The website did not specify that bedrooms were on the main floor but you had to walk up a steep staircase (for a crippled, polio man) to get to the living area. Also, the website does not clearly show that each bathroom is separate from the bedrooms nor did it show that each bathroom had a tub/shower which is difficult for a crippled person to get in and out of. The website should also state that there is about a mile of rough, washboard gravel road that you have to navigate once you turn off the main road. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and adequately equipped. The host was very hospitable and quick to respond to any inquiries. But with my mobility problems, we will not choose to stay there again.

This was the perfect place for two couples. We didn’t want to be in a busy area and this was quiet, and semi-secluded. Yet it was not too far from the attractions in Maggie Valley and Asheville. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed to cook. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was the smoke alarm battery was dead and it kept beeping. We called the person listed in the book but she no longer takes care of that property so we called the host and she never returned my call. Our tallest guest finally stood on the table and removed the alarm. If he hadn’t been able to take care of that our stay would have been horrible.

Property was better than the description, the place was very clean, comfortable and you have everything you need right there. Mary the host was an excellent communicator with directions and information about the home. You have privacy but not too secluded. We had rain on Saturday so we had all day to enjoy the wood fireplace and woke up Sunday morning to snow. Wintertime offered us two beautiful sunsets off the back balcony as well. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the cabin for 4 nights. Everything was very clean and well stocked! The road to the cabin was easy to navigate for us. We liked the location which was easy to go to downtown Maggie Valley or out on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We got very good instructions on how to find the cabin from the main road. The internet worked well and the satellite TV was good. It was cozy and nice! Thank you!

It was a great place to stay in the mountains! The host was easy to contact and check-in and check-out was easy. The house was clean. Be on the look out for black bear when staying there and other wild life in the area. My kids, husband and I really enjoyed our stay!

The best thing about this property was the location; 5 minutes off a Parkway entrance for some amazing hikes; close to Junaluska Golf Course, an inexpensive and great course; close to many Smoky Mountain scenic views and drives; close enough to Asheville for the airport and restaurants; and lovely Waynesville. The property was exactly as described and very comfortable with a fully-stocked kitchen. Thanks for a lovely stay in a most beautiful part of the U.S. Hope to be back!

Perfect location. Very quiet. Road to cabin is gravel but no issues in our car. Everything was great. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings were perfect. Will use again!

Peaceful, Clean Rental in a Great Location
The home was clean and neat with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Kitchen is fully stocked if you want to eat-in, with pots, pans, and all the dishes and utensils necessary. We stayed a week and had a couple of rainy days when we just chilled on-site. It was very restful. The elevation at this site is about 4,300 feet. You are about midway between Maggie Valley and Waynesville to the north and Cherokee to the south. Very near an on ramp to the Blue Ridge Parkway and entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains NP. The road up to the house is gravel, but was fine even after heavy rains. We highly recommend this rental for a peaceful stay in a beautiful area. Also, Mary was very responsive when we contacted her.

Immaculate and comfortable
Maybe the cleanest place I have ever stayed, and very open to the outdoors with loads of big windows, sliding doors, deck, and firepit. We had a wonderful time!

Quiet and relaxing.
The cabin is very comfortable. No musty smells as we have encountered elsewhere. Nicely decorated and quite spacious. We had everything we needed and more. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to birds and watching the chipmonks play. We even had the pleasure of seeing a couple of deer. We had never seen this variety before. Ours in WA State are somewhat smaller, lighter colored, and brown all over. The white rumps surprised us. Over all a very enjoyable weeks stay and Mary was wonderful to work with. She responded quickly and helpfully to every query.

Idyllic vacation in the Smokies
The house was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and that is appreciated after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. There is so much do in the area and we packed in all of the sights and experiences that we could fit into our day.

Great place for peace and tranquility
We were referred to Maggie Valley by a customer and found this gem of a cabin by luck. The cabin had everything we needed. The location was remote but easily accessible. I have nothing but good to say and highly recommend this property.

This house is perfect in every way! Easy to access. Very clean, comfortable beds, very well appointed and very well stocked! Beautiful view and quiet and peaceful! Very relaxing and the nicest owners. You will be highly impressed.

Great lodging in a secluded location
if you're looking for a great location to enjoy nature and get away from the rush, this is a perfect place. It's roomy, nicely decorated and has the conveniences you'd expect. We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay and hope to get back very soon. And, of course, Maggie Valley and the larger region are jewels. Mary (owner) was great to work with, was very responsive to our questions and accommodated our requests quickly. Highly recommend!

Beautiful tucked in the mountain yet so close to everything cabin
This house had everything we needed and more. Even small life-saver details like bug repellent and coffee!! Beautifully decorated and comfy, 1 mile from blue ridge parkway, in between Maggie Valley and Cherokee and close to Smoky Mtn National Park. We loved the comfort of feeling at home away from home and owners were easy to work with and very nice. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing yet active getaway in the beautiful NC mountains. You breathe fresh air even being inside because these house has so many windows and all with screens on them. We recommend the Cataloochee valley to nature lovers. We saw bears and elk!

Had a great stay at Mary and Glen’s house was awesome Had everything we needed very clean!
Loved the location in the mountains but not far from town. We were going to camp but lots rain forcast so a change in plans was a great choice not far from many hiking trails and waterfalls! Beautiful location felt like we were camping with the mountains all around us but clean bathrooms and hot showers! The wildlife was amazing to watch very relaxing place.

Beautiful cabin and Amazing view!
We loved the fact that the cabin was bout 5 minutes up the mountain and sitting right next to cliffs and it had a creek running by the cabin. The cabin itself is amazing. Two story with the kitchen, living room and dining room upstairs actually where the view is calming. We were 15 minutes from all kind of activities;but the Blue Ridge Parkway, with hikes and waterfalls, was just a turn from the driveway. My 17 and 15 year old boys and I hope to use this cabin every year for our family vacation to the mountains. Loved it!!!!

Beautiful cabin with lovely management!!
The cabin may not seem glamourous from the outside but is definitely gorgeous on the inside.
Mary answered any questions we had super quickly and was overall very supporting.
Looking forward to our next stay!

Beautiful, quiet, clean!
I can tell that the owners really take pride in owning this property. My husband and I stayed Memorial Day weekend with another couple after our camping trip was rained out. The house was already stocked with so much of what we thought we would need to bring! And the entire house was so clean! It’s obvious that the owners were very excited to have us there. I highly recommend this home and will most likely stay there again myself!
