I came there by 12.30 PM, and my check in time was 1 PM. They told me no rooms are left there, and wait till 4 PM to get the rooms ready. And it was bit difficult for me and they told we have a good property near to their property. They shifted me to there. It was a dirty property , smelly bed sheets and all. Very bad service , dangerous lift also.

The staff is very polite and efficient, all our needs were met easily. The place is clean, near from everything (restaurants, pharmacy, etc.) We tried a lot of hotels of this style in downtown Cairo but this one is definitely the best.

The WiFi in the room could be improved, it is very slow.

Convenient location in the heart of Cairo. Staff were friendly and not overly pushy about selling tours etc.

The hotel is only one floor of the building and is more backpacker-style/youth hostel-style than you might think from the photos available on here. It's a little bit run-down.

it is not what's been advertise on booking.com pictures are misleading, when I arrived there was no room for me they kept me in a small staff bed room. very disappointing some of the staff specially the female are very rude and not welcoming

Bula vinaka From Fiji.. The property was in a really central location, closer to shopping centers, restaurant etc. It’s very laid back, spacious and value for money. The owner, Hussein, is a very friendly man, soft-spoken and offers great advice on tours and extra-curricular activities. we were there during Ramadan, but he was really helping us look for alcohol. He organised our Pyramid tour & Nile Cruise with a local driver, Bob (very Famous & funny) who took us to the authentic Egyptian places & made great deals for local prices. Loved the experience and would highly recommend.

Τhe only good thing was the location. However the neighbourhood has so many hotels, so stay to another to have better experience.

The room booked wasn´t that in the photos. Poor facilities, dirty bet sheets with spots and hair from others, dirty towel(one even we had bookd double rrom), dirty bathroom and also the building. The staff unwilling to help, willing only to sell expensive trips to the pyramids and to everything existing. Just choose another hotel, this maybe 60 years before was the grand royal, now is the grand scam hotel.

it was reasonably good. For the money we paid, our expectations were low. the location is central. breakfast could have been better. For one night, we were given a different room than we booked. We were moved to the room we booked next day.

Booking.com gave us an upgrade when we booked being a Genius member. However, the hotel gave us poorer room in extremely bad condition. We booked a Superior King Room with Balcony. The hotel gave us Standard room with NO BALCONY. They DO NOT EVEN GIVE YOU WATER OR TEA & COFFEE in the room which was mentioned in booking details. The floor is squeaky & feels like it will break any moment & you will be left hanging between the 2 floors. The rooms are very in dangerous condition. I don't think anybody should stay in this hotel.

The location was great and that was it.

Unfortunately the hotel was not up to standards at all and the photos on the website were very misleading. Issues included poor toilet facilities including a non functioning shower head, no privacy with a bathroom door that does not close, a leaking bidet hose. The staff member saw that this was an issue and switched our room to an even smaller room. Due to these issues we were unable to stay for the whole three nights. We left after our first night to another accommodation. This is despite us paying for all three nights. I would not recommend a human being to stay here.

The location was pretty nice as it wa sone of the centre place for Cairo and you can move to any place within short time. Also thus locates in the shopping street and that was super helpful. And I was kind of solo traveler for some days , and the staffs were super nice and warm.

As this is a vintage type of hotel structure, They can be a bit more careful regarding their logistics like lock and key and bathroom fittings. Otherwise , it's worthy of money and I am happy with their services

It’s a super location in the heart of Cairo. Restaurants nearby are excellent eg. Felfella and Cafe Riche are just around the corner. Mr. Hussein, Madeleine and Youseff are a great team , friendly and efficient.

The breakfast was quite good but cheap. Omelete or eggs as option plus coffee or tea as option. The woman and the boy with the glasses in the reception was sooo kind and helpful. The location was good, nearby the shopping center and few minutes from the archeological museum.

Although the 24h reception, we arrived and we found a man sleeping feeling weird and guilty to wake him up. He was so rude and gave us a different-lower category room telling us that there was not another available room. We contacted with booking, they suggested us to talk with them and the response of the Hotel was that there was not the option of receiving the room type that had been booked by us, but they could provide us a free car which was sold as a concierge experience by the reception. We accepted the driver trying to improve our trip, but the room was the biggest problem. They never left any towel, we should ask for it. Although the room we booked (and we had received a confirmation after asking) had a bathroom inside, we had a private room across our door. In general, the King size room with TWO queen size beds, never received and we ended up in a room with one double bed. The pictures are not depicting the real sense of the hotel. Even the entrance was a bit scary during the midnight.
