We enjoyed our stay at this Quaint Cottage which is close to beaches and only a 5 minute walk to the Quonochontaugh Pond and breachway. Nice calm waters for young children. The inside of the cottage was freshly painted, with a new kitchen that had everything we needed. New floors were installed in the living area and sunroom! The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of clean towells. However the living room and sunroom had new wooden furniture that was hard and uncomfortable to sit on. Other than that the cottage living area is very spacious. Loved the big deck too! We met the owners and they were very nice and made sure we were well taken care of. A nice cottage for familes to rent.

Interior pictures of furnishings and description of property being walkable to the beach are very misleading. We founnd different fiurniture that were hard and uncomfortable. Beach not accessible by walking, have to drive for about 10 minutes, no beach parking pass. Property not maintained well, and the cottage was not vrry clean when we checked in.

Great location we were able to walk kayaks to the water, large porch and decent sized yard we were also staying during a hot week and the house stayed cool. Would rent again!

Perfect for kayaking on Quonnie pond

It was a relaxing and peaceful stay. The back deck had amazing sunrises. The beach is very quiet and the boat launch is perfect for sunsets.

We love this area, we rent Quonnie cottages every year but never in May. It was great to have indoor shower and a little heat to take the chill off the cool May nights. Love that there is also outdoor shower but it was a bit to cold for that this trip. Kitchen was equipped with all basics, even a spice cabinet. We did cook a few meals and everything was in working order. Beds were comfortable. It’s great they have a water system for we are aware of the hard water issues at the beach, but it is rather noisy that one night it runs for like 1 1/2. Hours in the middle of the night- but can’t be helped I guess. There were fresh towels left out as well. We did walk to the beach through path we know of , but in summer months you would need a beach pass to do so- would be great to have beach pass if allowed by the association. We usually rent directly on beach but could not get in this year for our early vacation. We will be back in the fall. Over all it was a great cottage, nice back yard and deck with ocean breeze to relax on.

I was very impressed with this rental. The reviews with snags and complaints didn’t match up to the pleasant reality of this house. Sure, the water from the tap is well water. It’s filled with minerals and looks like a hot spring gold color. But the fresh water is provided by a Water cooler (with cold and hot settings). The size of the house is very spacious for a one level. The kitchen has all appliances and utensils. There is a yard with a nice hammock. We appreciated the outdoor shower with a privacy wall- for after the beach. The grass lawn is well maintained and wraps around the house. There are plenty of towels in hand. The beds are not luxury mattresses but I wasn’t uncomfortable and I weight 270. If you have children, this is really ideal because you don’t have to worry about them running into the ocean while you are in the shower. The beaches are all very close. The beach at the boat ramp is 5 minutes walk (and not giant) but it is the safest for children and the shallowest, calmest water. It reminds me of a smooth Cape Cod bay beach. It works well for a family that doesn’t require their beach house to touch the waves but the Atlantic is 50 yards away and you can hear some monster waves crashing just on the other side of the breachway. This is a place to enjoy with people that don’t need tons of details and bells and whistles to feel happy.

The area was nice but the water was brown, the furnishings and carpets were dirty, there were no screens on the doors and 1 window, and some of the windows would not open. The condition of the water made it hard to clean and cook. Needs a serious update.

We enjoyed our vacation at this property. We brought our kayaks and used them every day, the boat ramp was easy access . Our grandchildren and my 93 year old mother enjoyed being by the breach way. The cottage was stocked with thing that I would usually have to remember to bring from home The owner was quick to respond to texts, Enjoyed our stay!

The location of this house was perfect walk to beach and pond. However I wouldn’t rent again as this house is in need of a serious deep cleaning. There’s a film on almost everything and I was a little hesitant to even use the pots and pans. Upon leaving when looking to make sure we had everything I discovered mounds of dust and garbage under dressers and beds that have obviously been there awhile. The beds are very uncomfortable and if it rains the front door leaks. Overall the house was okay again greatest thing is location but it’s in need of a good deep cleaning and updating (including new shower head inside as it’s pretty well clogged and has almost no pressure) outdoor shower was fantastic!!!

We’ve been going to this area for many years and this house had my favorite location. It’s a simple house with a good sized deck and a view of Quonnie Pond. Access to the beach and the pond is about the same short distance. You can hear the waves from the house. A water cooler is provided too. We brought kayaks and the trip would not have been the same without them. The owner Jim, is a nice guy and took care of a minor issue right away. Look forward to staying there again.

Great location but needed some TLC. Was also pretty dirty. It was ok but wouldn’t stay there again.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The towels owner provided were still wet from laundering. They were left on a bed which caused the sheets to get wet. Furniture very uncomfortable in living area. The place was not very clean. The blinds looked like they were never dusted and there were numerous cobwebs in the corner of each room. The back deck was covered with bird droppings and you couldn't walk on it without shoes. The kitchen and bathroom wastebaskets were filthy and smelled disgusting. I could say more but why bother. It's very obvious to me the owner doesn't take care of this property. Will never stay there again.

Would go back again It is a cute place great location near the boat ramp Thought there was a burn pit in back yard but there wasn't and the mattresses could use an update Did not know about water problems but there was plenty of fresh water available in a cooler Loved being so close to everything and overall a great time A perfect spot to walk for clamming The outside shower was the best

Great little cottage in a very nice area. My wife and I were there with our 3 young boys, 1, 2, and 8. Very short walk to private beach, and/or saltwater pond. Excellent fishing, clamming, kayaking, and swimming opportunities for adults and children of all ages. Cottage has everything you need. Private back deck for outdoor dinners and grilling. Outdoor shower for rinsing off before going indoors. Adequate parking for 2-3 vehicles. We had a great time and will make this an annual family vacation.

Very cute clean cottage close to the ocean. Great area in Charlestown Rhode Island. Walking distance to the bay where you can fish, clam, Kayak, or just relax. Short walk to a beautiful sandy private beach. House had everything you need. Just packed my clothes and food for the week. Weather was beautiful. Can't wait to go back next summer.

The cottage accommodated us well. It could have been cleaner, there seemed to be a dampness film over everything but sometimes that can happen at the beach. We would have liked to have been able to open more Windows but the cranks were broken on the casement windows. We also were under the impression that we were a part of the west beach assn but we had no beach access and had to drive to the town or state beach and pay daily to go to the beach. Live and learn! The deck was very relaxing and the cottage was very well equipped

I've been coming here on and off for about 17 years. My family and I have had so many great memories here. Love hearing those waves off in the distance. The place is well maintained inside and out. The large back porch is great for spending time relaxing and enjoying a nice meal together. We would spend the day at the beach, come back, use the outdoor hot/cold shower, have dinner, then walk to either the jetty or the salt pond to watch the sunset. The outdoor hot/cold shower is great in the mornings too. It's also been a tradition of ours to head to foxwoods in the late evening.

The cottage was clean and functional, we enjoyed the deck and the outdoor shower very much. The location of the cottage was both a positive and a negative. On the positive side, it was very close to the boat launch and fishing area at the end of the road. We kayaked and clammed in the salt pond and had a great time. On the negative, there was a good amount of traffic going by to get to this state owned area. It even had some traffic at night. Positive -great area restaurants, close to Newport etc...Negative - you must drive or bike to get to a public beach. I wonder why this property doesn't come with some sort of beach pass that can be used at the private beaches that are within walking distance - this was a little frustrating. All in all, we had a nice time, great weather and a lot of fun doing relaxing activities.

This will be our 8th summer renting this property and we love it! The location is great for kayaking, boating, fishing, and clamming with Quonny Pond only steps away and sun bathing and swimming on West Beach, East Beach, Blue Shutters, etc minutes away!!! The bedrooms and bath are small but very accommodating and the cottage has all the necessary appliances to feel like home!

Couldn't be more convenient. Walking across the street to the Beach every day, and lounging on the back porch was a Dream. All the amenities I could need. Beautiful sunset views. Love the outdoor hot water shower too.
