Our group had plenty of space to enjoy beautiful Cape Charles. Lovely home!

We had a wonderful stay in this older, historic property. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a few days away from home. We loved the proximity to downtown with shops and restaurants, and the walk to the beach was not far either. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us and she loved getting to explore Cape Charles! Communication with the owner was great and check in was very easy. The only criticism I have is that the listing wasn't specific that the house was a duplex and that the rental was for one side. We found out after we booked. This was not a problem at all, but would have been nice to see that specified in the listing. We were looking for a quiet place to rest during our teenagers' spring break, and this was absolutely perfect!

It is in need of updating and renovations of furnishings, especially the dining and living room. There are not enough dining seats, nor living room seating, to accommodate the number it sleeps. Operating the tv’s was challenging too. The 2nd floor balcony is unsafe to use as it is not attached to the building. It shakes with any movement. With improvements, this will be a jewel of a rental.

This was a really nice house, with plenty of room and privacy for all the friend couples on this trip. The AC was great...took no time at all to get the third floor down to temp. Ample parking. Breaker tripped when we tried to plug in golf carts, so we couldn't use the microwave, and the house smelled a little musty when we first got in, but once the AC kicked in it was great. Overall, this was a great place right in the middle of the town and walking distance to everything! VRBO has the wrong address listed, but that appears to be a VRBO problem, not an owner problem. I would definitely stay again!

We brought our family to Cape Charles for the first time and fell in love with the town’s beauty and charm. The property was in a great location convenient to shops restaurants and beach. The house had plenty of space for our family of 6 adults and 2 small children and was comfortable. The kitchen is quite small and needs updating which made it a little difficult to prepare meals. The house could use some updating but suited our needs. We enjoyed our first stay in CC and are sure to return.

Very good. The icemaker in the freezer was not connected, and so we had no ice. Everything else great.

You can walk everywhere (less than a mile) or rent a golf cart, even an 8 seater! Beach was great, outside shower at the place was great. Minor rental home issues: back door lock was tricky, kitchen sink sometimes randomly switched to the spray gun (shooting the victim in front), and some beds were wonky but the kids didn't mind. Overall just what we were looking for: three families, 7 kids.

This house does not disappoint offering the quaint charm that is uniquely Cape Charles. Location is amazing and there is plenty of space for a large group. This is our second time renting this property and each time the property was clean and checkin and out was effortless. Thank you!

This was my first time using VRBO and unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. I’ve used other rental services before and never had an issue. This house needed some serious TLC. The back door didn’t lock properly, the front door knob was pretty loose. The back door was also about to fall off the hinges, there was a loose piece of metal on the 3rd floor roof that banged against the house when the wind picked up which was the last 4 days we were there. The noise in the house was extremely loud. I notified management the 2nd day and was told it would be taken care of the next day. 4 sleepless nights later, it was never fixed. Not only was it loud inside the house but it was also a safety hazard if it were to come off completely and fly through the yard. The shower handle was broken at the valve and the garbage was so full the day we arrived we couldn’t do anything with our garbage for the first 3 days.

Nice Old House in a beautiful small town. Covid kept us from doing many things we might otherwise have done, in particular, dining out. But the beach is nice if a tad shallow, and a few trips to Kiptopeke got us in some deeper water. The take out meals we had were good and it is convenient to grocery, seafood, and farm stands. All in all well worth the cost and drive.

Property gets an A+ for great AC, that's for sure. 100+ most of the week we were there and house stayed nice and cool, even on the third floor. Mattresses on the bunk and single beds are definitely showing their age and we're not very comfortable, and 15 people would have been really tight, had all our folks made it.. Covid prevented that unfortunately. Nice house, super convenient to the shops etc and an easy cart ride to the beach.

We had a great time at this house. The rooms were more spacious than we were expecting. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch too.

Everything was perfect for a family vacation. The rental had everything we needed and the management was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. A wonderful time!!

My family enjoyed our first visit to Cape Charles. This home provided ample space for my family which included five adults and two children, ages 4 and 2, plus 2 small dogs. We were able to check in early (around 1:30P) as the cleaning service had completed this home prior to the 4:00P check-in time. The kitchen had everything that we needed and everything was in good working order. We especially liked having the outdoor shower in the back of the home so that we could rinse off sand from our days at the beach. My only suggestions for improvement are 1) supply at least 2 sets of house keys in the envelope for renters to use...since there are probably multiple families renting the home it would be nice for at least two families to have a set of keys to come and go independently, 2) replace the blinds/curtains in the first bedroom on the second floor...there was one window that didn't have a blind so we hung a blanket over the window for privacy and to block out the sun somewhat, 3) replace the chaise on the 2nd floor deck as it is broken, 4) replenish lightbulbs in lamp in living room and refrigerator. We will definitely visit Cape Charles again! Thank you for "sharing" your home.

We had a great time! The house was perfect for our extended family of 14. Lots of options for sleeping spaces. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. We would definitely stay again.

Very easy to book and keys were ready early which was great!

We gathered together for a planned interment at an Eastville church and family reunion. We rented out both sides of the house for a total of about 25 guests. The house was beautiful and well provisioned with everything we needed. It was wonderful to walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
