We liked everything about the property. Quiet, clean and spacious plus the history surrounding us at every step.

Awesome location within the citadel. Hotel rooms decorated nicely. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, better than expected. Good experience overall, would return again.

Parking was a little tricky, not obvious where you should park or where to go and check-in. For checking in for 2 rooms they wanted 2 different adults for their forms, which should not be necessary.

My bad collapsed when I set down. Spa, bar and restaurant closed. No liquid soap in bathroom.

The general medieval look of the property and of the rooms through their furnishing was great.

Many little things were not 5-star worthy, but the breakfast was really disappointing: what was supposed to be warm was cold, trays were not replenished, tables were not cleaned after customers left. So, if you were not early for breakfast things didn’t look good at all.

Exceptional all around. This hotel is centrally located and at the city heart of the fortress citadel. We had breakfast and access to the museum included and was absolutely outstanding. The staff was highly professional and helpful, the room was big, breakfast was perfect (it literally had everything), the property was phenomenal - a restored 18th century fortress with roman ruins outside your window. It's literally in the heart of town and the museums and history are all there. The hotel is part of the local history and is incredible being a part of it. It's not all restored but the portion that was was exceptional. The location was perfect for us as we traveled to see other castles in the region. Will absolutely return.

Great hotel. We arrived late and tired after a substantial delay and the staff brought us coffee to the room.

Would have loved a late bar, mainly because we arrived late..!

Beautiful place in the heart of the fortress, exceptional garden where you feel the comfort and freedom of the place. Pleasant restaurant with traditional food. Breakfast can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace. The rooms on the first floor (superior) are very nice. Some of the bathroom accessories were not cleaned and maintained properly. The place and the hotel are not missing much to be exceptional but unfortunately the attention to detail makes the difference (the bathroom door does not close well, the faucet traces rust, the bathtub can not hang the shower , has no protection panel and water reaches the floor ), small thoughts that make 'THE Difference'. Restaurant with young and nice staff who try to help as much as they can, but their lack of experience is obvious. The rooms in the attic are very small and dark, there is not much to enjoy there. Plenty of restaurants and bars around , but hotels ones remain the best with no significant price difference. Municipal paid parking near the hotel (limited places) cost around 4 euro /day.

Lack of attention to detail and personal experience. The place is 5 stars, but you don't really feel that everything is perfect as you would expect. Still we enjoy very much our trip.

Clean Large comfortable rooms. Staff friendly. Exceptional breakfast. Incredible location and very well looked after hotel.

Hotel had just re opened after the pandemic, so there was a few issues regarding the utilities. Staff did everything they could to resolve the issue. A small gift and small refund offered and greatfully accepted. Would have got a 10 if no little issues. Would definitely still recommend for an amazing experience/location and service
