Carr Mansion was absolutely exquisite. Ms. Joellyn was so kind and informative of great places to eat at and explore in the town. Plus, she is an amazing cook. It is centrally located, so you are minutes away from anything. The house itself is so rich in comfort that you feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here again and will recommend it to anyone going to Galveston.

Breakfast was delicious Loved the mimosas! The host was so gracious and pleasant it made our stay very enjoyable. She recommended that we visit some of the sculptured Ike trees and we really appreciated. We visit Galveston often but had not seen the sculptured trees and we were delighted with them.

The stairs were a little challenging for me, but that is due to my mobility issues, not a reflection on the property. Just something some folks might need to know.

no privacy for taking a shower or a bath in our own room. right up against a window where the shutters cannot be closed and there is only a shear (narrow) piece of fabric between you and the outside world.

Historic home was wonderful. Didn't realize that there were no showers. I liked the bathtub but our friend at 6'6" didn't fit.

There were sugar ants in the left muffins. No showers.

For any amount of money, I expect a closet to hang my clothes, but for $320 a night, it is essential.

I love the history of the house , the rooms, the staff was amazing and made it so personal which made such a difference in your stay. The breakfast was great! The whole experience was absolutely wonderful!

The Carr Mansion is the best place I have ever stayed at. We had the best time and felt right at home the entire time. I look forward to going back and trying ALL the different rooms. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful property, love the history of the building. Love the decor and bathtubs in the rooms. The woman running the property was very friendly and cares about her guests comfort. She also cooks amazing breakfasts on the weekend.

There was snacks, but no breakfast. Something about all the bananas were taken, and only a big breakfast is severed during the weekends.

The garden was not what I expected.
