It was a little cold in the evenings as you had no control of when the heating came on or went off

Quite possibly the cleanest property I have ever stayed in. The Annex was well maintained and has all the amenities you need, on arrival I was shown everything I needed. Its also a short 15 minute walk from Carlisle city centre.

Facilities and supplies were excellent. Location was very convenient

The Annex is a high-quality self-catering pad. Over three levels, access is up narrow stairs so not suitable for people with any sort of disability. All fittings, finishes and equipment are top-quality. Good linen in the bedroom and a lovely spacious bathroom on the upper floor in the loft (would be great to put a bath in there!) Kitchen/dining is very small and we felt a bit cramped. Lounge area on the first floor is small too but adequate if just one or two people for a short stay. Consider putting in a cupboard for clothes as opposed to the stylish but impractical boxes on shelves. Louise the host was lovely and very helpful.

Kitchen/dining area very small but it is what it is. Very clever use of the limited space! It would be great to have a bath - there is plenty of space. Stairs are very steep (but well designed) and not suitable for older or infirm guests or very young children. Best to point this out to avoid disappointment. This didn't bother us however. Compared to other places we stayed on our tour around the UK, The Annex was a little pricey. However, we still enjoyed staying there.

Spread over 3 floors so four flights of stairs from the ground floor to the bathroom. water pressure and temperature in the bathroom very temperamental going from hot to cold without warning.

Everything about the accommodation was exceptional, the bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and it was a lovely touch to find the fridge stocked with basic essentials. Would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

The Annex is a true home from home in a quiet and private location. Modern comfortable furnishings with exceptional and thoughtful attention to detail. I loved the large bathroom and comfortable bed.

Property was lovely,very modern and spotlessly clean. Had such a great sleep in a large,very comfy bed.

There was nothing not to like,everything was spot on and Louise was very welcoming and friendly.
