Booking.com recommend to upgrade room with private entrance, separate bedroom with coffee maker, etc. I paid a substantial amount for the upgrade as this was a special trip for me and my husband. I was shock to be greeted by the inside of the lift. It was covered up with wooden planks on the 3 sides of the lift wall, as if there are some kind of renovation going on. What a great disappointment for private entrances. Next, there is no separate bedroom or coffee maker as stated by booking recommendation. What I get is additional empty spaces. I feel so cheated for paying empty spaces. And the phone in the room is not working at all!

Good location. Bed is comfortable and tidy. Ample towels and body soap + shampoo are provided. Good toiletries set for 2 pax. Coffee and tea + 2 mineral water bottles are provided too.

Quite noisy with other guests banging doors and mrt in building nearby is too loud.

The room is big and spacious - so much so I think no one can compete with them at the same price range. Totally loved the 2 pillows - 1 soft and 1 hard each, like how it’s traditionally done. A lot of hotels nowadays just throw 2 pillows regardless of the type/hardness. They still provide complimentary toothbrush and toiletries. It’s awesome!

Not that it affects my experience in a material way - but the hotel entrance and the reception area is horrible. It feels like a budget hotel and is not fitting at all. A Chinese gentlemen at the reception counter wasn’t in his best professional behaviour. I asked whether my room had been paid for, to which he didn’t give a direct answer, and said I’ll be at a loss if he chooses to tell me that I’ve not paid (I get it that it is a joke - but that’s hardly acceptable especially he’s at the front of the house).

Spacious room, helpful staff and great location. Had to make changes to my booking and the staff were very accommodating.

For a 4 star hotel, the hotel seems to be run down. Very hard to find for food nearby. The traffic there is horrible and the google map is really confusing. The room had cockroaches n worms even through I was given a room at level 17. This hotel needs a complete renovation for the amount they are charging.
