We had one of our favorite vacation at this property! Clean, well stocked, perfect backyard for kids. The beds were comfortable, the shower had hot water and great pressure. Steve was a great host. Perfect location, 15 min drive to Acadia, Downtown Bar Harbor and restaurants

Stay in the cabin was wondering. Perfect little spot to get away for a long weekend with our family. Our 2 year old LOVED the play scape and sand box in the yard. There was plenty of bed space for us as well. 10/10 would rent here again!

Convenient and quiet location, just minutes from Acadia national park, Cadillac mountain and downtown Bar Harbor. Cabin is very clean and has all the amenities you need . Great family retreat.

It's in a nice and convinient location. Go to Echo lake and trail in about 10 minutes. Go to Cadillac Mountain entrance in about 15 minutes. The playground is awesome and an extra bonus. It has a descent deck and a firepit in the back yard. Wewould love to come back next year.

This property is just the right size to do a whole lot of nothing and a little bit of something. It’s location is just right far enough from the hustle and bustle and close enough for nothing but peace and quiet.

Great experience. Our kids loved the backyard (even better than pictured). The hosts were great. The location was far enough away to feel like you’re in the mountains but close enough to get to Bar Harbor, various hikes, without a crazy drive. Most places are 15-20 minutes. Will recommend to friends/family!

We loved our stay in the cabin. It is located in a very quiet area and close to the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor.The cabin was very clean and was furnished with everything we needed. My 4 yr old daughter loved the playground and sand sandbox.

We were delighted by this cottage from the moment we arrived — perfect for our small family. Has all the charm and character indoors and out. It is well situated on MDI to take advantage of all the things to do. We are hoping to stay here again!

Steve and Rose and warm hosts. The cabin is clean and set in a nice off the beaten path location. The big back yard gave our two kids (6&8) plenty of space to play. And it was so easy to get to all points on MDI while feeling away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks!

We had an amazing stay! It was me, my wife and two kids ages 9 & 10. This is the perfect place to stay for Acadia and Bar Harbor without being in the chaos of Bar Harbor. 10 minutes to Acadia and 15 minutes to Bar Harbor - both leisure drives with no traffic. Both bedrooms in the cabin are roomy and the fenced in backyard is VERY big. We had s’mores in the firepit out back and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the woods. Very safe and would absolutely return. Do not question staying at this cabin - for the price, it can’t be beat.

The cottage is simple but provided everything we needed. When we arrived it was spotless and the owners had left a small vase of wild flowers on the window sill. My only complaint was that we had to drive about 20 min every time we wanted to go to the park or into town and those were the two places we were the whole week. Otherwise the cottage was a wonderful place to stay with the family and it kept our trip within budget.

This cabin is small, aptly described “cozy cabin.” It was perfect for the three of us. We loved the location. It was quiet and peaceful while being centrally located, allowing easy access to the National park and Bar Harbor. We rented bikes in town at Bar Harbor bike rental and spent 3 days exploring the carriage trails. It was awesome, totally recommend this activity. The cabin had guide books that were great, directing us to some gorgeous hiking trails. We didn’t have any little ones with us, but if we did, it would have been a great set up for kiddos. Play equipment, sail boat converted into a sand box, fire pit and a fenced in yard. The 2nd bedroom had a double and a twin. The BBQ set up worked well. There is no washing machine at the cabin, but we didn’t mind since we were only there for a few days.

Our cozy cabin was absolutely adorable, super clean and very accommodating! We cooked, grilled, spent a lot of time on the back deck. We were only about 10-12 minutes from Bar Harbor/Acadia. Our hosts were very nice and communicative. Overall amazing experience :)

Simple, quiet and met our needs perfectly. Tucked away from the bustle of town, but not too far out of the way. Playground was a huge hit with the kiddos!

We had a lovely time. Great central location on the island. Pretty much 20 to 30 mins from everything. Our young son loved the backyard! Sand box, play ground, and lots of yard toys! The cabin is just the right size for a small family. The only things to note, are that it is small and one of the rooms has 2 large doors that open to the living room. These can be closed, but they have large glass panels so getting that room dark while being in the rest of the cabin is hard. Also the heat source for that room is in the main part of the cabin. So it's a little tricky with a little who naps/goes to be early. The kitchen was lacking a few things, no sponges to wash dishes (had to buy at the store), only 2 "sharp" knives (a steak knife and a serrated bread knife) and one pan. The owners are friendly but do live on the property as well as another rental property. Also there seems to be a childcare/school at the owners house as when we arrived there were cars coming and going and lots of kids around. Which didn't end up being a big deal, but would have been nice to know. I would stay again, but come better prepared with curtains and my own knives.
