The setting (nature) & the restored little houses

This is a magical little haven by the river. We stayed two nights planning on relaxing and enjoying the tranquil surroundings and cosy accommodation. Unfortunately not all went as planned. I tripped while walking by the river and broke my arm. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts Pascale and Frederique. Pascale took charge of the situation and organised transport to the hospital. He then drove there himself with my husband and stayed to help and tranlate for us. On our eventual return Frederique had prepared the most delicious basket for our supper. All organic food. Despite my mishap we still had a lovely stay thanks to the kindness and generosity of our hosts. Thankyou Pascale & Frederique

Easy to find with google maps (if anyone is worried)

Pascal and Frederique gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Our beautiful room was shown and a little tour was offered. We came by bicycle and since there are no villages nearby we asked for dinner. Dinner was unfortunately not possible but Pascal said they could make us a picnic basket. We accepted greatly! When the basket was brought to us to our room we were surprised by the products that they gave us.. so many nice things! Even 2 small bottles of wine and something that tasted like port, some cakes, a big plate of food and a bag of salty crackers and a white table cloth. Great presentation, great taste and well thought of. The area was also super nice with a river where you could swim and great for relaxation. Very very cold though! On the second day we had a dinner cooked by Frederique which was very tasty as well. Before that Pascal let us taste some rum with different ingredients in the bottles.. very fun to start a dinner that way. Last but not least, the bed was amazing!!
