It was my family first time staying in Destin. We recently had suffered a lost a few days prior to coming and decided to still travel to get away for a few days. Mrs Angela responded so quickly with my booking and house was lovely. The view was AMAZING!!!! Everything I needed was right at my fingertips. The staffs was very attentive to my concern about the bathtub water wouldn’t turn off, and they came up right away. I’ll definitely pick this location again in the near future.

We were on a baseball trip with school and stayed in this condo. It was very clean and we didn’t run into any issues. It was a convenient area. The pools and hot tub were cleaned every morning. We would stay here again!

This was our first time staying at summer place and we loved it. It’s a smaller complex so it was less crowded and a shorter distance to beach! Condo was as pictured. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier. Angie was super easy to work with-eager to resolve an issue we had with the couch. These things Are bound to happen, it’s how they handle them that matters. Thanks Angie! Would love to stay here again!

Loved our time at FWB! The condo was great and had amazing views. The condo grounds were very nice and clean. We had an issue with my toddler opening the front door since there was no latch or dead bolt, but we asked the front desk if there was anything we could do and they installed a latch the next day! The condo was decorated really nice and overall very clean. I would just recommend changing out the shower liners soon and giving the inside of the dishwasher a scrub/deep clean. We noticed some questionable darker spots, but that can be normal and it was nothing crazy. Great experience and condo and I would highly recommend!

Everything was as expected, super easy check in experience and great communication with the owner! We had an issue with the sound on the tv and they offered to have a new one sent over asap (it was resolved though) - such a great experience and would love to come back!

Condo needs some TLC in my opinion. Several things around the property broken or didn't work. Main light in the master bathroom didn't work, two of the bathroom sink drain had stoppers that didn't work, oven had issues preheating, and rusty old chair on the porch was broken. This is the second time we've stayed in this building and this condo was in rougher shape than the one we stayed in last year on the 2nd floor. Beds and sheets all felt very cheap and furniture wasn't very nice. I was surprised they didn't provide anything like dish soap or even hand soap for the sinks. The amount of money you pay to rent these places it would be nice to have these things provided when traveling from out of town. So if coming be prepared to bring that stuff unless you want to buy it. The location is awesome and pool area is well maintained.

We were looking for a last minute getaway and found this condo on Okaloosa Island. The condo was just what we needed! Great view, kitchen, balcony to enjoy our breakfast & lunch, & close to restaurants. We loved having the beach chair service included as we sat on the beach every day except one and read books & watched the waves roll in. Also, loved hearing the fighter jets fly over each day.

We stayed at Summer Place 506 mid-October. Condo was great and as advertised (clean, well appointed, just as pictured), no surprises. The location is close enough to amenities (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) but still a bit more laid back and less crowded. It's a 10-minute ride to the Destin area as well which is certainly worth a visit. View from the condo cannot be beat. You open up the sliding glass doors and see and hear the ocean, and the beach is just fabulous (even saw some dolphins).
Hosts were accommodating as well. They worked with us on setting up a last-minute rental (for 8 days), and that was very much appreciated!! And Summer Place in general was clean, well maintained, 2 pools, and friendly staff.
We had a great time; wish we could have stayed longer!!

The condo was just as described. The check-in process was a breeze! We actually arrived early and we allowed access to the pool and the beach service that was provided while we waited for our condo. The view was amazing and having two pools meant that most the time we had a pool to ourselves! There are restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was ordering from Stewby’s Market and bringing it back to enjoy at the condo. (FYI they have the best crab legs ever!) We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Best beach location!
This was our second stay that this location! We love the unit and Summers Place! Easy access to the beach, the unit is always clean, the check in and check out process is so easy! We had a flight change from morning to the late night and Legacy Vacations and the owners allowed us to stay later so we wasn’t out on our thumbs! The only downfall to this unit is they replaced the balcony furniture and it sits so low that you can have a clear view of the ocean unless you are standing! We also think it needs MORE seating outside! Other then that we would rate this unit a 10 out of 10! Can’t wait to come back next year!!

Beautiful but uncomforable
Let me start by saying we have stayed at Summer Place before and love the location. We were not able to get into the unit that we previously stayed so we booked this one instead. The unit is itself is ok, with a beautiful view and nice decor, however there were some issues that would prevent us from staying here again. There were several small issues that property management handled right away (moldy shower curtain, stove light out, thermostat issue, ceiling fan in 2nd bedroom wouldn't change speed, lamp in living room was missing knob so couldn't turn it on). Porch light on balcony is torn out and we called property management but they would have to have electrician to fix it. I would suggest new kitchen towels, there was no dish rag and 2 towels. The beds in master and 2nd were comfortable and decor nice. Mattresses in bunk room need replaced. Kitchen stocked adequately but no lids for skillets. We do a lot of cooking while we were there (2 weeks) and came prepared with supplies so we were ok but FYI, if you plan to do cooking, bring your own supplies or be prepared to buy. The single biggest problem with this unit is the living room furniture, it is run down and not at all comfortable, this alone, would keep us from renting this unit until furniture is replaced. Otherwise we would definitely come back to this unit. Property management was friendly and cooperative. This complex is one of our favorite in the area. Hope to come back next year.

Awesome location
The condo at Summer Place is in a great location. You can walk to everything! We enjoyed our stay and the unit is very spacious. We were 4 adults and a 3, 6, 8, 10 and 13 year old and we did not feel cramped at all. The cleaning crew could have done a better job especially in the kitchen. The gate code was not texted to me as expected but the next day we got it from the front desk. Overall we had a great experience and
will recommend it to anyone!

Great location, condo unit itself, meh!
I will start with the fact that the location was great and we had a wonderful time. Beach is clean, quiet, not crowded and just a lovely time. Property was nice and the cleaning lady for the property, Maria was fantastic, friendly, helpful. Just a sweet lady.
The condo itself was not terrible, but I had to call to have the master bed redone bc they sheets and duvet had visible stains. The kitchen was definitely not stocked with basics for a family of 6 or more. Especially for cooking purposes. They leave you minimal cleaning supplies but want you to run the dishwasher and washer full of towels before you check out. I guess we were spoiled because other properties we stayed in had dishwashing detergent and laundry tabs and toilet paper and paper towels for at least 3 days if not the whole week. I know how this works, most of us vacationing like this will leave our left over stuff for the next person, but nothing. We flew this time and it was annoying to get an Uber for fevers runs for TP, paper towels and detergent. It just wasn’t as clean or kept as I would have liked.
I don’t like leaving mediocre reviews for people who are running a business, but it really put a damper on my time. But my adult kids and my husband all had a wonderful time despite the minor inconveniences.
There are restaurants within walking distance and shops and that was nice.

Wasn't what I expected but still enjoyed our stay
I always try to review any condo I stay in so other moms or dads or whoever is looking for a room can have honest facts. So I booked this room for me and my children who's ages are 17, 12, and 5. My mom came also my husband and my sister and her son who is 11. We had PLENTY OF ROOM! No problem at all it is very spacious. I have read some reviews about the kitchen being poorly stocked but I didn't feel that way at all. We found that all kitchen items were reasonable and realistic on what someone needs on vacation. We cooked breakfast every morning and had sandwiches for lunch and ate out for dinner. Okay on to the bed linens, I was disappointed that they were dirty and had stains and no extra comforter to switch to. The front desk offered to wash them and return on Monday (this was on a Saturday) but we would of had no blankets. So I was very dissapointed in that. There wasn't a 2nd comforter to change to which means eveyone probably uses the same one. Most condos I have stayed in have a 2nd set to switch out with. The dressers and tables were very dirty also. Mattress was okay we all slept fine and was comfortable but again so dissapointed in the stains on the comforters. Also on the pictures it show multiple seats out on the balcony but there are only 3. I think if you have a condo that sleeps 10 people you should accommodate at least 5 or 6 on the balcony. I spoke to the owner, he was very honest with me and I did appreciate that. Since covid everything has been hectic and they are having a hard time finding cleaning staff. Which you will see in Ft Walton every where you go is short staffed. So I understand that. They did refund my cleaning fee. But I still wish we could of had some blankets shipped next day from Amazon or somewhere. Also some chairs for the balcony. Overall it was a good trip, the kids had a wonderful time and us adults did as well. The positives and negatives we're even so I can't really say bad things. The owners are trying but are also dealing with the aftermath of life after Covid-19. It is a little more active than further down Santa Rosa Blvd. I have stayed down twoards the end all other years coming here but this is right across from AJ's oyster shanty and we walked to all the gift shops. I would stay here agian and hope the owners consider getting a 2nd set of blankets for the unit.

Rental and check in were very easy. Condo was nice. The only thing was the beds and furniture were very uncomfortable. Beautiful view no problems with parking.

Great location but noisy and you need to bring everything
Positives: Management responded quickly to questions. Location was great, right on the beach with access to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Beautiful white sand beach with great views from balcony and nice pools. Condo had nice set up with bedrooms, bathrooms, and living area.
Negatives: Definitely need a humidifier. Extreme musty smelling and so humid that towels and swimsuits would not dry. Dryer door kept coming open during cycle too which stopped the dryer. Bedding is extremely worn and dingy. White blanket had stains on it. Towels and sheets are very cheap and low quality hotel grade. No beach towels provided. Kitchen and bathroom supplies are extremely limited and made it difficult to cook. There are dishes to eat off but the baking and cooking items are sparse and storage containers are non existent. You need to bring or buy everything. This is annoying, costly, and wasteful when you fly because you’re required to throw everything out at departure. The starter items include one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom with one hotel size bar of soap, two dishwasher tablets, one roll of cheap paper towels, and one dish rag and towel. No coffee or anything and we found a small salt and pepper hidden behind some dishes in the corner of a cabinet on the last day. Bring headphones if you like to listen to music. They do not allow music at the pool. We were the only people at the pool one night around 7pm and had a very small speaker not playing loudly at all and security came by and told us it was against property rules. Noise travels through the thin walls and ceilings. We woke up one morning at 6:00am to a screaming baby in another unit. Another morning we woke to what sounded like a pressure washer above us, and yet another morning to what sounded like someone drilling a floor. We could also hear when people moved chairs or furniture.
We came in for a huge beach volleyball tournament and booked last minute so location was key. If that’s what you’re after then this place works. If you’re looking for nicer quality then I’d recommend one of the other locations close by like Waterscape or Destin West which I’ve been in and have much nicer units and amenities.

Great location!
This condo was the ideal location for our family. We were 2 couples with our combined 5 kiddos. It was great! The pools were great and the beach is right there. The pier is an easy walk on the beach and The Boardwalk is right there at the pier and offers some fun restaurant choices and cute shops!

Amazing views
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It’s a very laid back place! Front office and security was not down everyone’s back all the time like previous places we stayed! All of the people was so nice and friendly! More family oriented then a party place which was nice! The morning views of the dolphins was amazing! Only complaint is that the oven needs to be replaced!! It does not heat up evenly and literally takes 45 min to preheat!

Family Friendly
This is the best place to stay for a family. Everyone is so nice and the area is more family oriented than a party scene. It's also very close to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and activities. The condo is nice and clean and has pretty much everything you need. This is our go to spot for vacations now. We loved it!

Disappointed
First off the location was great. Everyone was really friendly. My problem was with the condo. First off, the kitchen was not equipped with things that you would need every day. We had to wash most of the dishes because they were nasty. The dishwasher had mildew inside of it. The over took well over 45 minutes to preheat. The couch and loveseat was terrible to sit on. They needed to be replaced. The beds were also extremely hard in every room. Also the tv in the bunk room did not work. The remote and TVs in the other rooms, including the living room, were hit and miss. I tried changing the batteries but that wasn’t the problem. We enjoyed spending time with our friends and family but we will not stay here again.

Great place we will return!
Perfect vacation with a gorgeous view of the ocean, beach, and pool. Easy access to pool and beach. A very roomy condo with everything you need. Easy drive to Destin Harbor area. Much better than Miramar since we did not have to battle traffic. Fully stocked kitchen and a full size washer and dryer! The owners of this property are very helpful and kind.
