We had an incredible time staying at this beautiful home! The location was perfect—close to beaches, restaurants, and everything we wanted to explore. It made getting around super easy.
The house was extremely clean and very lush and gorgeous. Everything was comfortable and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home.
We loved waking up to the tropical surroundings and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Hawaii!

The house is just as pictured. Very clean, well stocked with all the things one could need, and in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to amenities and activities. The outdoor space is a great place to chill and the pool was AMAZING!! The Hosts left us thoughtful local gifts to enjoy and the gardeners brought us the BEST fresh picked bananas! We enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at the Honu house was more than we expected. We had everything we needed for the week! All communications were timely and very informative. The space was perfect for a family of four to six. The location of the house is great with easy access to most places on the island as well as privacy that was available when enjoying time outdoors grilling or by the pool. The only thing we would have liked to be available more was for the water feature at the pool to stay on more consistently throughout the day. We will definitely look to stay here again as our first choice when returning to the Big Island. Thanks for such a streamlined relaxing vacation!

We stayed for two weeks. We had a great time at this property. Pool was great. House was great. We also ran every morning before the sun came up. Very quiet and private neighborhood. We will definitely come back to this place.

Property was fantastic, especially the outdoor space. Kids loved playing in the yard and the pool. Beautiful neighborhood, we loved going for walks in the evening to view the sunsets over the ocean. Good central location on the west side of the island. Would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful two week stay. The pool was fantastic. Swam nearly every day. Plenty of comfortable furniture outdoors on lanai to just hang out and relax. A welcome relief from a brutal Alaskan winter for us.

6 of us stayed in this house: my husband and I and our 2 adult children & their spouses (ages 28-30). The home offered plenty of space for us to gather together or have our own space. The outdoor patio and yard are awesome. The pool was great to have for days we didn't feel like going to the beach. The home was well equipped; a few more beach towels would be better... we did laundry, but 2/person would be best since they get wet quickly. We shared a rental car, but it's an easy location to walk a mile into Kona town, or grab an Uber. The Kona Concierge was a great help in getting us set up with activities and recommendations. They were quick to respond to questions. We would definitely stay there agian!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. The grounds are quite spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. Well located close to town. Our only criticism is the barbecue was useable for our needs. Other than that we would definitely stay here again.

We traveled to support an Ironman athlete who was competing at Kailua-Kona for the first time. We were able to see the swim from a distance from a neighboring hillside street. The end of the bike loop was at the gated neighborhood entrance, and we could walk down to Ali’i Drive to watch the runners go by twice. Perfect location for the event without staying in the downtown craziness. We enjoyed the quiet and peace of the surroundings.
The property was beautiful and well-maintained, and we really enjoyed eating breakfast and watching the sunsets from the lanai. The pool is large, and there are lots of floaties and pool games and toys. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, and some essential spices. There were also beach chairs, coolers, and some sun hats, goggles, etc. for guest use.

This home was amazing! We loved the pool and the pristine landscaping. The house was perfect. Bedrooms, Bathrooms, kitchen, lanai. All were as pictured, well stocked, comfortable and stunning. Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful home. Our week on the Big Island was stellar.

Our stay at the Hawaiian Honu House in Kona was over the top. The house was in a beautiful and conveniently located gated community. The house itself was very clean, well maintained and well equipped. I particularly appreciated all of the additional amenities that were not explicitly guaranteed such as pool toys, beach chairs/toys, coffee grinder, K-cup brewer, extra cleaning supplies/trash bags and an excellent stock of kitchen utensils, cooking utensils and cutlery. The pool was immaculate and the water quality was perfect. The beds were comfortable. There was a generous supply of towels both for the two baths and for the pool. As an added bonus, we had access to the Kona Concierge, who was very helpful with booking tours and with general information before and during our stay. Finally the staff at Kona Coast Vacations was very easy to work with, accommodating and extended a sincere Aloha spirit. We were in the house for two weeks and it really took our Hawaiian vacation to the next level. Thank you, Kona Coast Vacations!

We joined our son and his family for their Spring Break in Kailua-Kona for a week. The house was wonderful - it was clean, well-equipped, comfortable and in a great location! David, the concierge, was really helpful and aanswered any questions promptly. The pool was big and there were toys, floaties, etc that entertained our grand children for hours!

Kona Vacation
The property was perfectly situation to explore Kona and the big island. It was clean, spacious, and even better than as seen in the photographs. It was everything we needed in a rental home and we look forward to returning.

Exceeded our expectations
During our time on the island, we stayed at 3 rental homes, starting with this home, a home in Hilo and a resort north of the airport. This home rated the highest among all of our family members. Our two 18 year olds rated it a 10/10.
The home was very well equipped (kitchen, bath and helpful items for beach trips) and we appreciated the small gift bag that included local Kona coffee and island honey, as well as some other tasty items.
The back yard was wonderful with lush landscaping, a hammock, and beautiful pool. The sunsets were amazing from the backyard and there was often a nice breeze coming from the ocean, which was within eye-site.
I would consider the cost to be very high, but if this house is within your budget, you will not be disappointed. We would definitely rent this house again.

Outstanding Vrbo was perfect for us!
This property made out first trip to the big island perfect! The house was so spacious and beautiful; from the magnificent pool to the views of the ocean. The house was beautifully decorated and fulfilled all of our needs! Neighbors were so welcoming and helpful - two even brought us fresh papayas and apple bananas from their gardens. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property, great backyard!
Beautiful home, lovely backyard, great view, fantastic pool, wonderful lanai. Really good location. Floor plan is great to have primary bedroom on one side of the house and the other bedrooms on the far side. Did I mention the lanai/backyard and pool are amazing? We had one issue with the AC but I was able to resolve it myself. the call service tried to resolve but the property management did not resolve the issue.

Loved this home
We really enjoyed our stay here, the pool was great and nice sized for actual swimming, the house was really clean and beautifully set up, and the view of the ocean beautiful (albeit in the distance.) The only complaint I have is about the AC which in the master bedroom was freezing and in the kitchen really hot (guest room was good!) I wont deduct a star since it did work and the service was great at responding.

Beautiful home
Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Hawaiian Honu House. Many memories were made in the pool, out on the lanai, and on the hammock enjoying the beautiful sights and sounds. Many friends have reached out to us asking about the house after seeing some of our pictures on social media. I have shared the details with 4 different families.

Quiet neighborhood allowed for a peaceful trip. The pool was great for escaping the heat. The location was ideal for being away from the crowds while close enough to the stores and shops to get what we needed.

The house is wonderful- great pool, great view, great neighborhood. Everyone enjoyed the hammock and the starry nights. It’s a short drive to downtown and the beaches. The staff at Kona Coast is attentive and friendly. We would love to return.

Perfect Kona House
Everything about this property was perfect! Very clean, great location, and spacious. The fenced in yard from the pool was just what we needed with two young kids. The pool was incredible with a shallow area for my one year old and deep area for my husband and four year old to do cannon balls. We had an issue with the grill and the management company brought us a new one right away! Loved everything about this house and will be back in the future.

Beautiful!
Honu House was the perfect place for us! Great location, spacious, comfy, beautifully landscaped and had everything you could possibly need and then some. The pool was fantastic and we loved that it had a separate area for hanging out outside.
There were a few minor things that needed fixing but the management company was very responsive. The only real issues we came across was the washer and air conditioner. The washer is a front loader and with front loaders you need to leave the door open after a wash till it’s dry cause it will moldy. The washer had lots of mold on the seal and it clearly smelled. We washed one load and realized everything washed smelled pretty badly. I’d recommend the cleaners give it a hard cleaning with bleach and run a few afresh cycles. The other issue was the master bedroom air conditioner. We couldn’t understand why it felt like no air was coming out of it. The filter needed to be cleaned. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. But we took it out and cleaned them well and after it was absolutely delightful in there. I’d recommend the cleaners include cleaning the filters every so often. The only other thing was the beds. Besides the twin beds, the two other beds were really hard, if they were mine I’d add a nice plush topper to them.
But overall we had a wonderful time, loved the home, and would definitely recommend Honu House. We hope to use it again when we come back next time! We also hope other families enjoy the games we left. Mahalo!!
