Everything was wonderful. The house was great in every respect.It was closer to County Road to 234 than we anticipated,but our sleep was undisturbed. Kathy, our host was terrific.

The property was beautiful!! Close enough to Durango to be convenient but far enough away to be peaceful relaxing. The host was very friendly and attentive. Private river access was relaxing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying at this property.

Beautiful property. Nice location close to Durango and within 1-2+ hours to other popular destinations.
Very clean, cozy, and peaceful. Wish the kitchen was a little more stocked with cookware, more variety of cooking utensils, and basic staples. Overall would highly recommend.

Cute clean, and very comfortable! Living space is upstairs so it feels like being in a cozy treehouse. Kathy is a gracious hostess who lives on the property with her family - there are three homes total including this one. At her recommendation, we had a lovely lunch at Dalton Ranch golf course with amazing views. She brought us wood for the outdoor fireplace and showed us where to sit to enjoy the creek. We visit Colorado every year and will make this an annual stop.

This was such a great place. Just perfect. Loved sitting by the creek strumming the guitar while the sun set over the mountains.

Owners clearly take pride in their cabin and the rest of the beautiful property it is on. You could enjoy spending countless hours relaxing here or use it as a home base to come back to after an adventurous day of activities in the Durango area. The amenities served any of our potential needs.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this location. It was very clean and had the cutest little charm to it. I wish there was better pictures of the outside of the property on the listing. This home is inside a gated area with the owners home. We never ran into anyone during our stay, but the listing/pictures made it look more private. It is right off the road, but never really heard traffic. We did see several deer and the breeze that went through the area was amazing. Thank you for sharing your home and a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay here. Our host and her family were very friendly and helpful. The property is aboslutely gorgeous and there were lots of things to do in the area. The house had everything we needed, and was beautiful inside and out. Wish we had more time here!

My wife and I wanted a getaway in Durango with a home in a quiet area and just a short drive to downtown and this place delivered everything we needed. The property was just as described in the listing and we loved the covered carport. The property has two other houses on it but we honestly couldn’t tell anyone else was around the entire time. The owners actually reached out to us to welcome us and we’re available by phone at any time. Just the best stay. Highly recommend!!

The location and accommodations were great. Just 15 minutes away from Durango, a little ways into the mountains, but easy access to all the sites in the area.

This place is a gem! Perfect location being 15ish mins from downtown while having a secluded feel. The property is beautiful - we loved strolling & fishing the private river! Sitting out on the deck & enjoying the scenery was amazing. We will definitely be back!!

Amazing cabin in a great setting. We really enjoyed the comforts of home and as always on the top of our list it had a comfortable bed. Covered parking was an added bonus. We highly recommend this place.

Upon entry, we didn't readily find the living space. Until we found the stairs! This was perfect for a couple. Although we enjoyed all our meals on the little balcony off the kitchen, we grilled on the ground level patio. Bed was very comfortable. We saw a golden eagle right outside our window!

We had a wonderful stay in the precious cabin. It was very well stocked and comfortable. Sitting on the porch watching the wildlife was so relaxing. If we ever have the opportunity to visit the area again we hope this property will be available.

This was a great place to base out of. Close to restaurants, the Silverton Train, Mesa Verse, the hot springs and hiking.

My Wife, 2 boys (9&5), and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kathy was the most amazing host and made sure that everything we needed was taken care of. We stayed very busy seeing the sites around Durango, but our time at the house was extremely relaxing. One of our favorite parts of the whole trip was relaxing by the Florida River. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much Kathy for being such a wonderful host for my family.

So much fun. We enjoyed the clean cabin and secluded feeling. Had a great time by the river with the kids and sitting outside eating and the fireplace was very memorable. Great host. Will be back.

Such a comfortable place. Surroundings were quiet, could hear the river running. Had everything needed for a place to return after a busy, fun day. Recommend Steamworks for yummy food. Spent a full day on the Durango-Silverton train ride, which was fun. Hiked a few areas of Mesa Verde, viewed the cliff dwellings. Our hosts were so cordial and welcomed us with a tour of their beautiful property. Definitely recommend.

The cottage was beautiful and spacious, along with the rear patio with fireplace. We enjoyed several mornings and evenings at the rear patio. On clear nights, the night sky was breathtaking. The property is also minutes from downtown Durango. The hostess was courteous, kind and pleasant.
