I would give this property a C but it's being priced as an A; Manager rarely there and when there unhelpful no way to call. On the other hand, the security force was very helpful and present when needed.

Great location for restaurants and Caymana Bay. The beach has suffered since our last visit but hopefully it can rebuild. A couple beach chairs would have been nice for visiting other beaches on the island.

This is our third time to Grand Cayman and first time getting a condo--the location is excellent for those who wish to be on 7 Mile Beach. The condo was fully stocked with all amenities i.e. towels, kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, etc. The view of the ocean from this unit was spectacular and each night we went out to watch the sunset. All the stores are in walking distance and we had a car so was easy to drive to dinner or other locations on the island. The beach is right next to the condo and just grab a chair if you plan to sit on the beach. There are rocks in certain areas so be careful where you step upon entering. You're paying for location so highly recommend. We saved too by cooking our own breakfast and bringing our own alcohol. Property was well maintained--each day there were workers keeping property clean and pool chairs back in place. Communication with property manager was great. If we come back to Cayman again, I would recommend the condo route. This one met all of our needs.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this unit. It is super close to the beach and walking distance to Camana Bay. However, the beach as shown in photos is not the same beach that exists today. There were some days that the staff could not even set out chairs and umbrellas due to the water coming in so close to the wall in front of the condos. Also, we found quite a bit of large debris in the water which we were told came from a neighboring property after a storm took away its dock. The shoreline had a ton of rocks which made entry and exit into the water painful; highly recommend water shows. The unit itself was super spacious for our family of 5. I would recommend a longer entry rug to collect more of the water and sand that gets tracked inside. Also, the security lights outside the master bedroom made it impossible to sleep. Recommend a blackout curtain. The master bed was way too firm for our liking. However, even with these things we would consider to stay again because location, location, location!

We loved staying at the property right on 7 Mile Beach. We found the condo to be exactly as expected. Communication with Property Manager was wonderful and they were very accommodating.

This is a PRIME location along 7-mile beach. Most everything is within walking distance, and although the beach is not as large as it once was, there's still plenty of space to play and layout. The water is absolutely beautiful and the accommodations are great. You can't go wrong staying here!

This condo was perfect for our family of 5. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. It was clean comfortable. You’ll will not be disappointed!

We had an incredible stay! The condo was clean, attractive, well-stocked, quiet, and in the absolute best location for enjoying all that Cayman has to offer. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Apparently busss means awesome according to our kids. The whole family loved this place. This section of beach was quiet and calm with a lot of restaurants close by. The condo was clean and well apportioned just as the pictures show it. This was our second trip to GC and we'd stay at this condo again on our next visit. Thanks for a great trip.

Our family of 4 adults, a toddler and baby were in Cayman for a wedding. This was the perfect home away from home for our stay - close to many amenities and a quieter end of the beach. We enjoyed long walks along Seven Mile Beach, beach-time with the kids, delicious meals out (all within walking distance) and sunsets right outside our door.

We had a beautiful week in this condo. We were concerned that the recent hurricane would have gravely damaged the beach in front of this property. Although the beach wasn’t as deep as it once had been, there was plenty of soft sand for beach chairs and sandcastles. Walking into the water in front of the beach was no problem. Nice soft sand under foot. The condo was spotlessly clean . The double stroller was great for our two young children. The property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. We would be happy to return here !

We were highly disappointed at the beach when we arrived. This part of 7 mile beach is eroded and only a few feet of beach is left. You can’t walk out into the water because it’s solid rocks and extremely painful all along the beach. Absolutely nothing like the listing photos. The locals said that this happened ( beach eroding) back when hurricane Ivan hit and it’s just got worse since then. Which makes me wonder why the pictures are still being used of the beach before erosion. This ruined the trip for us. The condo itself was accommodating. It had everything you need and the beds very comfortable. Again though, it wasn’t like the listing stated. Most of the furniture was very worn and dated. Carol was very nice and quick to respond to questions. That was a plus at least.

My friends and I have stayed at many ocean front/view properties, and I think this one has them all beat! Picture-perfect, postcard view of the ocean from both balconies! And the ocean is so close you can fall asleep to the sound of the surf! Property is as advertised . . . very comfortable for the 3 of us with our own BRs, and each BR could have easily slept 2. Very clean, tidy, and well-appointed with everything we needed in the kitchen and baths. The condo is also well equipped with pool and beach toys if you have kiddos! Great location within a short walking distance to restaurants, massage, shopping, Camana Bay, and the beautiful new Fosters grocery store. Short taxi ride anywhere on the island. The pool and property grounds are very well maintained, and regularly patrolled by security. We booked this in 2019 for 2020, but couldn't come until 2022 because of Covid. Carol was wonderful! She was a quick communicator, she understood the situation, and she allowed us to delay our reservation twice - once from 2020 to 2021, and again from 2021 to 2022. You will not regret renting this condo!

To the beach, the sound of waves lulling you to sleep, the central location, the beautiful pool, the comfy comfy beds, to the daily ritual of meeting others at the beach with wineglass in hand to watch the sunset…..this is why we return to 42 Cayman Reef Resorts each year! Love it love it love it!!

Beach: there is little to no beach left here. Lots of erosion which can’t be helped but for the advertised price of the condo you’d be better off further down as there is barely any sand left. Kitchen: No food staples here at ALL after we specifically asked if there was at least salt & pepper, butter, coffee filters. Whad $500 worth of groceries delivered & not even sugar, coffee filters, oil or S&P. Cabinets were a mess, nothing organized. Dishwasher falling out of its socket, door falls open (latch broken). The Unit: Cleaning closet stuffed to the brim & kept popping open with brooms & buckets falling into the hallway. Large 100+lb mirror fell off the wall 1st night we were there. Cushions on chairs on deck are flat as pancakes, filthy, should be tossed. Same for the couch. Pillows on beds hard as rocks. Upstairs shower is literally dangerous to stand in ‘slip & die’ is what we called it. Showerhead is too small for the shower & not adjustable. One of the two blow dryers do not work. No cleaning service (even though it was part of our payment) and then offered as additional $$. Owner said it was due to Covid. We spoke to the cleaners & they said no, the Owner cut their ‘every other day’ cleaning service to ‘end of stay only’ Huge problem with advertising check-out time. Website says 11am. Owner argued with me that it says 10am. My contract stated 12noon. Ruined our last day there trying to get ahold of the Owner (all phone calls went unanswered). So many other beautiful condos, complexes, hotels to stay on the beach for this kind of money. We travel to the Caribbean at least once a year & have stayed at some fantastic places, this was not one of them. Bummer, this trip was planned for 2+ years in the making.

The layout is good for our family of 6 adults. Happy that we could carry over our reservation that was interrupted by Cayman lockdown last year. Really nice to have coffee or cocktails on the decks or just a few steps away to the beach., stunning sunsets every night. Its a shame that Mother Nature has decided to erode the beach, but that's out of anyone's control. One MUST wear water shoes to navigate the coral to get into the ocean. The heated pool is very nice. Great to have washer/dryer in the unit, and plenty of beach towels. Kitchen is well equipped, including ice maker. Overall, the unit worked well for us, with room for our scuba bags, nightly family dinners etc. Closet space in each room is good. Also nice to have combination lock on front door, making it nice to not have to worry about a key. Location is good for SMB and Georgetown, but highly recommend a car. Years ago we could walk almost all of SMB, but erosion now prevents that in many locations. Met some nice neighbors/residents of the property who shared good suggestions of things to do/see. Highly recommend Living the Dream Divers for Scuba enthusiasts, Rackams for lunch on the water and dinner at Coccoloba at the Seafire or Macabuca. Also check out Cayman Port ship schedules to see when Cruise ships are in port, to avoid crowds OR to plan to go to Georgetown when shops are open. Only bad part of the stay was communication on issues when we first arrived - printed contact phone numbers in the unit were wrong, and when we finally were able to contact someone it was always via email, which substantially slowed things down. Eventually maintenance issues were addressed, and the latter part of our stay was great, as issues were fixed after email comms. Overall we had a nice stay, once the maintenance issues were resolved.

This is an awesome unit in a great location. Check in was as expected…….very easy. We would come back again.

Great place with all the necessities! Quiet beach property. Due to the current erosion, the beach was a little narrower than expected. Apparently that is common for this time of year.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our condo at the Cayman Reef Resort. The views were breathtaking. The condo was spacious with plenty of room for our family of 5. There were plenty of bath and beach towels, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The condo was immaculately clean as well. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend this condo. We are looking forward to returning!!!

Loved the location and unit was just as advertised. Very clean and good AC as it was super hot during our stay. Owner super responsive. Much better choice for quiet stay with a few people on the beach vs loud and crowded hotels

My family stayed there early June for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay! Carol was awesome and replied promptly to all our questions and the condo was very nice, clean and comfortable. VIEW: Incredible! Steps from the beautiful beach and loved all the balconies. KITCHEN: Stove worked great and had all the amenities needed to cook daily meals or even make a good virgin pina coladas. Minor suggestion was to provide kitchen scissors since having one would have been useful. Only issue was sink had no garbage disposal which was strange. Also we used the sink strainer to not let any food go down the drain but the water still got backed up so water took some time to drain. BEDROOM: Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. BATHROOMS: Nice and clean! Only thing was for the bathroom upstairs. While showering, the water would go cold for a minute or so then get warm again.. temperature would go in and out then you would have to adjust then re-adjust or it would get too cold or hot. Also the location of the soap dish was a little dangerous. Its eye level so if you're not careful you can hit your head into the corner. Loved our full size front loader washer and dryers down stairs! Plenty of beach and bathroom towels were provided. LIVING ROOM: Was nice, clean and spacious. TV had good channels I believe from Florida stations. Daily we would get sand in front door entrance from going to the beach so I would have to sweep daily since there was no upright vacuum (that I saw. Just a large one that was too big to haul out) so it would have been nice to have one so we can easily vacuum . Overall, great stay and awesome location! Close to grocery stores, Camana Bay and gorgeous beaches. Thank you!

We stayed here for a week and we loved it. It is located only about 15 minutes from the airport. We were picturing Seven Mile Beach like Waikiki beach or South Beach, so we didn't rent a car at first. If you just want to go to the beach and relax, you won't need a car at all. There are many restaurants nearby. But we wanted to see some local spots, Rum Point, other restaurants a few miles away or shops in George Town so we rented a car on the 2nd day. Andy's Car rental is within walking distance and they were super nice. This place is conveniently located to drive to West Bay, George Town, Camana Bay or even the East side of the island; it's very well situated, and I loved it. All the rooms were spacious, every room had a TV and most of all, the views from the lanai and bedrooms were AMAZING. The host always responded to our questions so we were very pleased. We definitely recommend this place to any of our friends and family.
