Fabulous staff- 5* service

It was a little tired, but we found it only added to the charm

it is set in beautiful countryside buy easy to reach. The grounds are lovely and well kept and upon arrival the staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are large and welcoming with old fashioned charm but beautifully clean and well appointed. Tea and coffee making facilities, as well as home made biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge, are additional touches. The sitting room had a roaring fire and no shortage of wood and we were welcome to have afternoon tea, as well as pre and post dinner drinks in front of it. Our meal was exceptional. Fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked, well presented, served efficiently and tasted delicious. Breakfast was table serviced with generous portions and a wide variety of choice. overall I cannot recommend this property enough. what a gem.

Arrived at hotel which was very dated to then be told there was no hot water on the hotel.

Character hotel with many features that made our short stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent breakfast with good range of options.

The room and the size of the room. The staff was so lovely. Food and service is amazing. Goegoeus property in lovely grounds and fab location for exploring The Cotswolds. Very nice bathroom products.

Nothing... absolutely gem of a hotel and perfect for exploring The Cotswolds Of there was one thing. If you put a biscuit barrel in the room it needs biscuits. Disappointed, especially as the homemade shortbread was so good.

This is what you would expect a country hotel to be. The food in the restaurant was lovely. We are planning to return later in the year.

The pool was broken so couldn’t swim it would have been to know that before we got there as our plans were to spend time in the pool we could have done something else instead

The food and location were both excellent.

The decor is dated and swimming pool disappointing since water not heated due to mechanical problem. This was not mentioned when I booked. Bedroom radiator not working and inferior taps and shower curtain in bathroom.

I was attending the Cheltenham Festival at the racecourse so the location was perfect for me. I love the fact that you are served breakfast which saves queuing and having to eat food that has been lying out for hours.

I didn't like the pillows or blankets but that is a personal thing.
