Wonderful staff, great accommodations, in a beautiful natural setting. Everyone spoke English at the resort and all over the island. Great WiFi and TV service.

Quiet part of the island.

I kind of hate to even complete this as I'd rather nobody else know it exists. 100% satisfaction across the board. The staff are fantastic, the grounds are very well kept and the view is pretty killer! Great location to get off and explore San Pedro, get to the airport and water taxi.

Exceptionally furnished and prepared suites with very comfortable beds, excellent showers, good wifi, TVs in every room, and well equipped kitchens. Pool was delightful, as was the accompanying jacuzzi. The handy bar was very reasonably priced, and drinks were expertly prepared. Arrangements for activities - for us this included scuba and the Hol Chan Reserve Shark/Ray Alley snorkel - were perfectly handled with easy payment. Finally, the location is just perfect. A really excellent resort!

No on-site restaurant, but we had a great meal next door, so not a real negative. Lots of eating options nearby.

When we arrived at the resort it felt like its own world surrounded by beautiful palm trees and other greenery. The pool area is well maintained and heated and over looks the ocean. The beach area also has a furnished pier where you can enjoy the belizean sunset. This room itself is set up like a condo and has a fully stocked kitchen with appliances like blenders and coffee makers. While there is no restaurant, there is a fully stocked bar and many restaurants in walking distance. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating and took time to arrange things like transport to and from the water taxi terminal.

I liked everything.

The staff were the nicest and most accommodating of anywhere I have stayed at. They were super knowledgeable on everything local. We will definitely be back here soon!

beautiful property, nice helpful staff. enjoyed ourselves!

We loved the pool area. Good size, great for kids, plenty of shade. We also loved all the natural greenery/treess, particularly in the back where there was a small nature walk set up that was great with kids. Rooms were nice, well cleaned. very nice staff. Beach was nice, given that it was a bad time of year for seaweed, we mostly swam in the pool but did use some of the complimentary rentals like kayaks/rods/snorkels/paddle boards which was great!

we came with little kids and our particular room had a set of up to it and another up to a couple of the bedrooms. this would be fine with bigger kids but I think if we came again with littles, we would work on trying to get a ground level room.

Everything about our stay at Xanadu was amazing. They arranged our transportation, excursions and the staff was top notch. The beds were comfy and while we didnt watch much TV everything was there to make it like home. We will definitely plan more trips back to Xanadu in the future.

The held my bags hostage!! After I turned my key in to check out it toke about ten minutes, (where they have my credit card on file) and I told them I was leaving. I came back for my bags (just after office hours) security would not let me have them until the next day !!! The owners did nothing until the next day were they admitted they were wrong!! I night in a strange county without your bags?!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BAD ATTITUDE after a good stay. The owners are weirdos!!

We loved our first visit to Ambergris Caye. The people are so kind, the food is great, and our hotel Xanadu made our stay so relaxing and nice. The staff at Xanadu are amazing. They booked multiple tours for us with guides they had vetted and knew were good with tourists. We had booked another trip on our own and it was not good at all. The front desk staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. On the day we left we realized we forgot items in the hotel room. We called and they quickly got our items from the room, had a driver take them to the airport and had them flown on a flight to us in Belize City. Amazing!! We looked at other properties while we were there and were happy we chose Xanadu. The grounds are kept immaculate, the beach is kept nice and yes it had the seaweed but you didn’t smell it. We loved that they had paddle boards and kayaks to use for free. Thank you Xanadu for taking care of our family during our stay.

The room decor is outdated but the beds were super comfy.

This resort is fantastic. It's better for them if you book directly with their website financially. They also have a 25% discount if you book directly through them.

Great place to stay! It’s just outside of the main part of town, so it’s very peaceful and low key, and you don’t have to fight for a pool or beachside lounge chair. The resort and staff are awesome! Beautiful setting and they are so friendly and accommodating. They will take care of everything for you, including arranging transportation and booking any expeditions you want to do. Orlando (groundskeeper/maintenance/luggage guy) is super sweet, and Winston at the bar is happy to keep your drinks full. No onsite restaurant or actual beach access, but that wasn’t a problem for us and we spent most of our beach days at Secret Beach, which is also amazing (a bit of a golf cart drive, but so worth it).

The staff was fabulous. Jessica was so helpful with questions and booking excursions for us. The room was also extremely clean and they came every day and did a wonderful job. There’s no restaurant on site but there is a small bar. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.
