We were staying in a "superior room" in room 27. This was supposed to include a mini fridge and television. Neither were included.

A lovely privately owned hotel in a quiet safe neighbourhood 2km from San Jose. Excellent staff and spotless rooms.

The hotel is located in a nice villa and has a good location, 5 minutes walking distance from Barrio Escalante where many bars and restaurants are located. Rooms are spacious and the ratio quality/price is good.

The hotel is simple, so don't expect luxury. The days I stayed it was unusually cold in San José and without heating it was quite cold in the room, especially at night, but I guess this was a kind of uncommon situation.

Property is great. located next to Escalante. Fabulous rooms

The night staff was a little cranky. A bit rude. maybe he was having a off day. He was just a kid

The location is excellent and so quiet for being in the middle of town and right off the busy street! Like a beautiful garden oasis.

We were staying with two small kids which means constant movement. The wooden floors in our room were so loud with the constant movement of little feet. It was overwhelming for using think if it were just us adults it wouldn't have bothered us. Also most hotels these days have more to offer as far as what is on the television. There were only 12 stations with literally nothing appropriate for small children so the time we spent in the room was difficult to try and keep kids quiet while being in a shared space hotel.
