Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. Louisa and Kevin were very helpful and friendly.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great location on the quieter North shore of Scarborough. A warm welcome, Free private & on street parking. Room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Room made up everyday. Powerful shower & quality toiletries. Lovely fresh cooked breakfasts in dining room overlooking the Sea. Friendly, efficient, helpful owners & staff. Good, free wi-fi signal. Would definitely stay again.

Twin room was quite small, but still comfortable.

Excellent base on the quieter North Bay . The rooms were spotless and good value for money .The breakfast was excellent and the owners incredibly helpful and knowledgable .

The location was good facing on to a beach and we managed to get parked in the hotel car park.

The room was very small and very hot despite having the windows open. The sink was in the room rather than in the bathroom. However e it couldn't have fitted in due to it been so small anyway. The wardrobe door kept banging against the bathroom door due to the lack of space. The bed wasn't a full sized double and their was too much furniturefor such a small room. In addition, I found it very rude on the last day when the owner Louisa started to sweep and clean the table that was attached to ours when I'd just received my breakfast. I'm sure it could have waited until we'd finished. The breakfast sausage and bacon wasn't to my taste.

It was very clean. Great location owner was very helpful, breakfast was very good. Rooms cleaned and mugs changed daily and tea coffee sugar milk topped up daily.

There is no lift but not the end of the world and was telephoned by owner to confirm we would be ok with stairs. The only thing I could find fault with was the shower it wasn’t very powerful and would cut out completely at times .

The host was brilliant stood by all the covid guidelines and more, nothing too much trouble we felt very safe and care for would definitely go again, perhaps not on top floor next time, but nothing wrong with it just legs older than we think x

Howdale was a tidy and a nice place to stay. Louise was very friendly and helpful and we felt welcomed. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable! Recommend this to everyone

The hotel is situated in a prime location on the seafront. We had a room on the top floor. We were made aware of the fact there is no lift so you need to get up 4 flights of stairs. But it was worth it. With s view of the sea and the castle 0 complaints. The hosts were wonderful getting to know us from the moment we stopped through the doors and also putting me at ease with the great covid precautions. The breakfast offered was too notch arrived quick and fresh. With a high attention to customer service. The parking situation is a little tight out the front but again. Would ask daily if you needed to move your car that day and make arrangements with other guests or even give you a day pass for parking out the front The room it's self was very clean. And the bed comfy the TV was a little small in the room but again so much to do outside it was the perfect base for us to get some good sleep. Also had teas coffees and hot chocolate and biscuits refilled every day.

The shower on full power mode went from hot to cold. But found no issues when using the eco mode. The walls were a little thin so could sometimes here the people in the room next to us.
