Ester's place should be called Ester's Palace! It is a gorgeous home with loads of space, beautifully arranged. The host family is lovely and they looked after us superbly. The location is very good and easy to find. The nearby Avenida is gorgeous with some nice places to eat. 😃

Ester is truly a blessing! She is so accommodating and she really does whatever it takes to make her residents happy! We loved how the kitchen is available for anyone to cook meals from early morning to late at night. It was quiet and very peaceful! We loved the front patio where we could hang out with new residents and eat meals. The view was beautiful from our room and that room was extremely spacious! Everything is immaculately clean and simple. Sandra, the custodian, is so helpful too! Super place to stay and with my husband's dental surgery, the distance was perfect to walk to. It wasn't far from Avenida Escazu. The area is safe even at night. You will be happy staying at Ester's Place!

That it didn't have a pool but we really would not have had time to use it anyway! There is so much to see in Costa Rica!

Ester’s Place is located in an upscale residential neighborhood near the major highway and within 3 blocks of PriceSmart, CIMA Hospital, P.F. Chang, and a big major shopping mall— Escazu Multi-Plaza Mall. There’s a ton of coffee shops, restaurants, and specialty shops.

Great location for us because we were visiting friends a couple of doors down. Nice area, patrolled by a security guard so felt safe and there was a lovely restaurant area nearby with some good food and bars on offer. Room is as simple but comfortable and clean and the fan was a welcome addition. Space to sit outside and have breakfast.

Personally not keen on the shared kitchen, but to be fair this was reflected in the price which was very good value.

I came to San Jose for my prenatal appointment at CIMA Hospital and stayed at Ester's. It was walking distance from the hospital- even for a 7 months pregnant woman. Communication with the property was very fast. Ester was a saint and helped me book an English speaking taxi driver for my early morning departure. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. If you are traveling for medical tourism or want to stay in Escazu, you can't beat this location.

Safe, beautiful neighborhood, a 6 min walk to Avenida Escazu. We asked to be checked in early and they were very kind to let us.
