We enjoyed our stay at Cowboy! The place was clean and well maintained. The check in/out process was super easy. The locations was great with easy access to the town and the national park. Previous reviews indicated the places are close together which is accurate but we didn’t mind it. We would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Property was in excellent condition. The only issue (small one) was there was a pickup from the RV site parked right in front of the steps to the cabin. Very quiet & comfortable.

My family planned a visit to Medora to visit Teddy Roosevelt National Park and see the Medora musical. The site was very close to the town center. The cabin was great and was perfect for our family. The views from the property were wonderful. For people who like to hike and bike an added bonus is that the property is only about a mile away from the Maah Daah Hey trail! This is a beautiful and extensive trail that is very accessible.
I would definitely plan on coming back to this property if we come back to the area.

Nice cabin in a campground near Medora. Quick access to all things: National Park, Musical Amphitheater, Shopping, etc. Would definitely do again.

Location was great, beautiful scenery. Property was clean and had everything we needed. A bit tight for 5, 4 would be more comfortable.

The property was as beautiful and peaceful as the pictures suggest, with spectacular sunrises over the bluffs. It's amazing to be able to walk or bike right to the Maah Dah Hey and access miles of Badlands trails within 15 minutes.
The cabin itself was totally fine. The queen bed's mattress needs replacing as one side has a giant sag. And we really had to ration the hand soap and TP provided. I also recommend watching your step walking around the property as other guests were letting their dogs run and poop freely. But these are minor complaints and I'd happily stay again (though probably not in a season when the RV park is at full capacity, since some RV spots are right up against the cabins).

We had a great stay and enjoyed the clean cabin. Very close to Medora. Very quiet.

Our stay was great. Plenty of room and close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Only complaints: the Wi-Fi was not at all reliable. Also the requirement to wash sheets and towels really interferes with our ability to hit the road as early as we wanted to.

Had a few issues checking in - Didn't know te cabins had #'s on them, which would have been helpful ahead ot time. However, once we got settled, we had a great time. Cabin was very nice and clean and had alot of amenities in it that were great. Overall, a very positive experience and would stay there again.

The location had beautiful scenery and was very close to the Medora Musical and town. Saw several mule deer at the campground

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as-advertised. A very nice TV was connected to a cable which wasn’t: although “broadband” in capability, the bandwidth was severely taxed most of the time, making streaming of even native apps frustratingly impossible. It’s a good thing we didn’t really count on viewing TV during our getaway!

The cabin was the perfect size for our family and in the perfect location! Not too far from town but far enough for you to be able to get the camping feel. Brad was very helpful for check-in. We took a wrong turn and had a little mis hap and he was just a phone call away to help. Highly recommend this location.

Clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Front door has dead bolt but no strike plate about 1/4 inch gap. T.v. connection was terrible. A dirty rag in washer, which I forgot about, washed clothes and had dirt particles all over clothes, had to rewash at next property.

Comfortable stay at Boots Campground
We had a very comfortable stay at Boots Campground. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had all items we needed.

Could be lots better
The photo is very misleading, A more accurate photo would show campers and RVs in 80% of the image. the trailer home itself is not horrible, the ac was very good, and the bathroom was clean. and the location is convenient to TRNP. The view out the windows is the side of a camper and truck. After returning from a hike there was a funky odor near the middle of the trailer I looked out the window and saw the camper hook up. The bed caved in to the middle so sleep was tough. then signs in the trailer require towels and linens to be dried which differs from what s in the listing. We've stayed in more than a dozen condos and short-term rentals over the last 12 months and this is the first time I've had to leave this kind of review.

Good for families
This location was an easy distance from town. We stayed here as a family of five and it was perfect. Great place to visit and would highly recommend.

Great view
There were a few broken things on the property however nothing that affected our stay. The dryer is slow so it was inconvenient they expect everything to be dried before you leave.
The view was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for us
The cabin was clean , comfortable and well furnished. The view of the hills from the porch was perfect while resting after long hikes in the park.

Camper/cabin in a campground
The camper-cabin was well outfitted and clean. The coffee pot worked and coffee was provided. All kitchen amenities. Plenty of blankets, sheets and towels. Quick hot water for the shower. Comfortable bed. The owner moved us to an adjacent camper on arrival as this was occupied.
I've never had to wash sheets and towels, and take out trash before leaving a VRBO. Keep in mind as it slowed our departure waiting on the wash machine. The TV reception was non-existent. The thermostat did not work and the owner never did come by to check on it, thus no heat, a/c or air circulation. The campground rents sites to campers including right outside the bedroom of the standing cabins. Quote cozy, but awkward when you aren't acquainted. Feels like they are in your space. Noise could be a problem.
Enjoyed the associated restaurant, Boots, in town; good food and service.
Easy quick trip into town, only about 1 1/2 miles. Fun tiny town to walk around. TRNP is very close as well, and one of the national park hidden treasures.

It was fine, weather turned bad on us.

Experience
Beautiful location, but diminished by a travel trailer parked right alongside the cabin. We had to park our vehicles away from the main entry to the cabin to allow the owner of the travel trailer vehicle access to the hitch of his trailer. I would give the location as excellent except for this. Cabin condition was as advertised. Convenient location to Medora. Wireless signal was weak and unreliable at our cabin. It was stronger at other areas of this site.

Nice stay
Very quiet and pretty in the hills just outside town. Was not real fond of the RVs right next to the house. But the neighbors were quiet. Great driveway circle for walking. Saw a porcupine right off the porch. Enjoyed outside dining on the porch. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Only 3 chairs at the table and we had 5 people. Was clean. Had received 2 emails from owner with 2 different entry codes. Got in finally. Looks older outside but it is nice inside. Western decor.

Excellent housing option in Medora
Property was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Having central air was a HUGE plus while we were there!
The manager communicated all the check-in and check-out procedures ahead of time, so we didn't even need to contact him while we were there.
We couldn't get the wifi to work, but that didn't hinder our experience at all.
Overall an excellent stay. Would definitely stay in one of theae cabins again.

Medora
Convenient location be sure to read house rules Before booking all your used towels and sheets must be washed and dried before leaving. We lost an hour travel time if you’re on a tight schedule plan to get up early.

We really enjoyed our stay!
We were very impressed with how clean the cabin was - it was so nice to arrive to such thoroughly clean accommodations. The full kitchen and the grill on the deck with full propane tank were great for making our own meals while we were there. We really enjoyed coffee/breakfast on the deck, and suppers there too. It was nice and quiet, the stars were beautiful, and we saw deer from our deck and enjoyed listening to the meadowlarks. So nice to be so close to Medora but be able to come back to our cabin to enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet. There was an RV parked beside our cabin for 2 of the 3 nights we were there, but we really didn't notice them as the views to the front and the other side are quite private. We would stay here again!
