Extremely friendly owner who communicated well throughout that process. Condo had everything my 13 year old son and I needed. View is even better than the pix. Literally a few feet from the ocean. Highly recommend!

As soon as we walked in and heard the surf we knew we’d picked the right place for our stay. The lanai is as good as it gets for oceanfront coffee, sunset cocktails, and everything in between. The complex has a nice pool, hot tub, and grill area that we enjoyed using. The condo itself is updated and had everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry for a week’s stay (and longer of only we could). The complex is a short walking distance to downtown Kailua-Kona restaurants, shops, and bars, and there is a beautiful little public beach next door. What more could you need!

Couldn’t ask for a better view on the private lanai located in walking distance to many of the stores and restaurants. The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (14 days), including pool and hot tub on site. A great little beach right next door. Watched spinner dolphins while drinking our morning coffee right from the lanai!

We stayed for 5 nights in Bruce’s condo in Kona-Kailua. It was well equipped with everything we needed to make our trip comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We got use of the pool on several occasions. Restraunts and shops within walking distance. The view is spectacular! I would recommend this property.

5 Star Stay! Location is beautiful, waves constantly breaking, views are spectacular! Super clean, quiet and absolutely everything you need is in this condo. The beach chairs are able to hold a lot and are a joy to use. Property is beautifully and quietly maintained, along with the sparkling pool and grill areas. This will be your new get away place in Kona! Great communication with the owner, lots of information and everything we needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We just had a great visit to the Big Island in this wonderful condo. As others have described the view is unbeatable and the location is fantastic. The condo is very well stocked for cooking and use of the washer and dryer came in very handy. Bruce contacted us in advance when he learned there would be construction in the unit above ours, and he proactively refunded some of our money as compensation for the noise. Would absolutely stay here again.

Stunning ocean view, everything you need to enjoy a relaxing escape. From cooking seasonings to sunscreen and beach equipment, owners have thought of every detail. Easy walk to shops and restaurants and short drive to grocery and gas. The sunsets are the best! We will definitely coming back!

We've stayed at Kona Reef before and enjoy its proximity to town and attractions on the Big Island. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance of the complex and most of the other shopping is a 1 or 2 mile drive for groceries etc.

Very nice ocean front condo! Great views of surfers and boogie boarders right in front of the room. Watched pods of dolphin swim by in the mornings while enjoying coffee. Very clean unit with everything you could want. (Really nice to have AC and washer & dryer in the room as well.) The condo is very close to downtown Kailua-Kona so we walked to dinner and drinks at night. No need to drive. The owner was great to work with as well. We plan on staying here again when visiting the Big Island!

It was our first time to the Big Island! This was a perfect location. We had everything and more in the condo- little things like zip lock bags and big things like plenty of extra towels, comfortable bedding, & laundry detergent. We appreciated the condiments in the fridge and water-filter pitcher. We had a car so we could visit other beaches, but we also walked to the main drag for dinner and drinks. So glad we stayed here!

Our family's stay at the condo was a dream! The location alone gave us a full close-up view of the shoreline, where we spotted a sea turtle munching on seaweed for hours. We were just a walk away from restaurants, shops and the farmers market, and as such, we made it a nightly ritual with the kids to walk down to the shave ice shop to eat a day-end treat and watch people play beach volleyball. We also took the free trolley aound town which was nice for access to get supplies as well as visit some of the popular beaches for snorkeling and bodyboarding. We had everything we needed at this place, and quickly felt at home with having literally everything we could need to prepare food, wash dishes, and do laundry. We spent the most time out on the lanai to soak up all the sounds of the surf and watch the sunsets. There really couldn't have been a better place for our family of 4! Communication was absolutely responsive, and when we found ourselves in a bit of a pickle, Bruce took swift action to help us out and ensure our stay was the best it could be. We would definitely come back to this little slice of heaven if we are lucky enough to return to the island someday!

This property exceeded our expectations. The unit was updated, immaculate, and well-stocked. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed watching surfers right in front of the lanai. It was only a 5 minute walk into town to restaurants and entertainment.

This condo was in the perfect spot. Right on the beach where we could watch spectacular sunsets every night. The condo was well stocked with every day essentials and beach supplies. We had a great vacation. I would highly recommend this condominium.

This place was great! If you want to wake up to the sound of birds and the waves every morning this is the place! Very clean, quiet, and walking distance from town. Washer and dryer, umbrella, beach chairs, snorkeling gear to use as well! A great surprise. Will be back and look forward to staying there again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The views are beautiful and being so close to the ocean was fabulous! We watched people surfing and fishing while sitting on the lanai. The location is a very convenient walk to nearby restaurants and shops. We also appreciated the parking garage as there was always plenty of space available.

The view and sound of the surf right below the lanai made this extra special. I've never stayed in a condo that provided so many items, from food to appliances to beach gear.

We were very pleased with the ocean side unit at the Kona Reef. Great views and very conveniently located near the Kona boardwalk with many bars and restaurants. The unit was thoughtfully stocked with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Mahalo!

The only negative was the stains on the bed cover, and the dirty paper towels behind the bed. Everything else was excellent. Beautiful condo, comfortable and cozy. The view is breathtaking and the location is so convenient . Great stay, would love to come again!

Waking up to the sounds of the ocean and having breakfast on the lanai was how we started our days! Very clean, fully stocked, beachfront condo! All the positive reviews aren't lies! We will book with Bruce again! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

My wife and I just completed a fabulous three weeks in Bruce’s condo. A perfect location for short walks to Kailua and for watching whales, surf, passing boats, and sunsets just feet from the lanai. The condo was immaculately clean and superbly appointed. Kitchen had all necessities and the linens and towels were of superb quality. And beach toys were available. We fully expect to spend future vacations in Kona at this very same condo. Bruce was very much available and offered every assistance to assure we were comfortable and enjoying the condo. He had many suggestions to assure we experienced Hawaii to the full. Thanks again, Bruce.

We loved our stay in this well equipped oceanfront condo! It was so nice we didn’t want to leave. We especially loved sitting on the lani watching surfers and sunsets - and sipping Kona coffee in the mornings.

Fine condo in a great location . . . we spent many mornings just watching the waves and the dolphins swim by (even say a whale and a shark). Bruce is a very generous and responsive host, and provided plenty of everything for our stay (even had butter waiting in the refrigerator). A welcome change from our experiences other places.

The feel of the unit is of home. there were all the condiments we needed in the unit. Plenty of towels, paper products, left over containers, saran wrap, ziploc bags, utensils tour books and anything else we needed. We arrived after 10:00 PM and found cold water and white Claw drinks in the refrigerator, either left by the owner or left from the previous guest. We appreciated that so much we left some in the refrigerator when we left. The unit is within walking distance to Old Kailua Town and we enjoyed our daily walks for happy hour at the many establishments in Kailua. we will try to book this unit again when we return i the future. My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and had the best time! It’s very conveniently located to the downtown area (can easily walk to nearby restaurants and bars) and was overall such a pleasant space to stay in. We absolutely loved the lanai which had the most incredible view of the ocean and the sunsets. Bruce was very responsive and hospitable to our needs. The apartment was very clean and spacious and we had such a comfortable stay. Can’t wait to come back soon!

This owner has super communication skills, and the property has been very nicely renovated and outfitted with all you will need for your stay. You are right on the water, and within walking distance of so many stores and restaurants. We were very happy and would highly recommend this property and owner.
