I think it's the language barrier. A lot of the information was not explained properly by the staff. The cleaner was also a bit careless.

Not much. It was a beautiful view but we felt like we were in a prison.

Rooms were not clean; dark and prison like. Tall walls were white and bare and the lighting was very dark, due to no windows; no view at all. Additionally, the shower and toilet were connected with a clear wall so if one of us was showering, the other person could not use the toilet. This was very strange. No hot water or air conditioning for 2 days. Poor WiFi connection the entire time. The pool area was always a mess. Towels everywhere, food not picked up. Not adequately staffed at the pool. The awning over our private pool had a hole/large tear in it which made it look like we were at a hostel/1 star hotel. The only bice parts of the hotel were the lobby and restaurants. Overall, we are very upset that we paid for a 5 star hotel and basically received a 3.5 star hotel, at best. Staff was nice and friendly but unable to rectify the above problems other than the hot water. They also took a lot of time to get requested items to our room, such as ice buckets and bath towels.

Det var et virkeligt flot og luksuriøst hotel. Personalet var virkelig venlige og meget serviceminded vil bestemt give en stor tak til Jaa i Vista restauranten og resten af personalet. Matt var også virkelig god til at give sig tid til at snakke med os. Yazz som kørte os op og ned fra værelset i buggyen var det rareste og sødeste menneske og meget god til at snakke med os og lave sjov med vores 2 børn.

Alt var perfekt.

My family and I stayed at Avista for a little over a week. We traveled with our 2-year-old and 10-month-old which can be stressful on its own. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive to a crowd of attention and help with our children. They were greeted with excitement multiple times a day, shown love and attention by numerous employees, and accommodated as well as possible. We had a hiccup which was quickly and thoroughly rectified at the hotel's expense and done so with genuineness. We want to shout out the multiple employees who made our stay a memorable one and who gave our children an experience way above our expectations. Thank you to Hrang, Pin, Natt, Jeena, Na, Teng, Yazz, Nice, Emmy, Jag, Matt, Jaa, Bella, Rizma and many more who I'm sure I have missed. To add, the hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious, with amazing architecture and amenities, though, the employees are what make this resort one worth staying at. We hope to make a return in the near future. Thank you again to the lovely staff.

Perfect location for Patong, away from all the craziness but close enough to get to within 5 mins by taxi. Breakfast spread was brilliant, it was a huge, clean location and the staff were so attentive and friendly.

the location it's near to everything and the room clean and modern and the pool is amazing with mountains view but the best thing is the hotel is the stuff is 1000%

Smooth checkin. Efficient communication.

Staff at the reception can be more friendly. Shuttle bus to Patong beach was good but the driver refused to drive us a little bit further to the actual part of the beach. He only dropped us off at the place which is far away from the center.

Staff amazing, especially front of house. Created a great atmosphere.

Getting a little old in places, faults like blocked shower drain, emergency torch not working etc

I absolutely LOVED this hotel !!! Very spacious, beautiful, cleanliness OK, extremely kind and caring staff. Lots of amenities (spacious and clean gym, with very good equipment), very good breakfast and restaurants.

The hill location, it is longer to go to the beach or center by foot.

We had such a fantastic stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful and comfortable. We booked the half board and so enjoyed their breakfast and dinner, which was delicious with great selection. Staff at this hotel are so polite and super helpful. My children enjoyed the activities at the kids club. They have 3 pools and we enjoyed the one close to the Vista restaurant. There's a 7 eleven, massage place, scooter rental and laundery right opposite the hotel which was great! Will be staying at Avista if we go back to Phuket.

The perfect gate away! The pool, restaurants, and the rooms themselves will have you blown away! The minute you walk into the lobby, you can see the forest and the sea far back. The staff provided us a drink made with natural ingredients that instantly refreshed us. When we were taken to our room, we were amazed with how well kept the property was, we could not get rid of our smile throughout the whole stay! Every part of the hotel is picture worthy! The hotel also provides halal food! Definitely book breakfast and visit tembu restaurant. The staff were helpful at all times, super friendly! I would highly recommend hiring a car as the hotel is located on a mountain. The views were breathtaking as you drive down.The best hotel me and my husband have stayed at. A hotel that should be booked!

Breakfast was first class. Travel from room reception was by buggy buy very prompt.

Rooftop bar and bbq was excellent food but overpriced by a mile.
