We’re very disappointed with our accommodation, we only got two hot showers the each night and one in the mornings, not happy! No heating in the room and very untidy! Beds are uncomfortable. Crockery was dirty. Overall we’re just not happy!

Ground floor, could see the street, and see our car, Bed was comfy. Didn't have stairs to climb

We didn't stay longer. We were in Melbourne for a concert.

Very good customer service. The room was clean and had everything that I needed. Stayed there five years ago and I think some things have been updated since then. Always like to have a microwave and stovetop in the room. It was well priced.

Clean beds

The room was so tiny: the property is located right on a traffic light intersection so is noisy at all times of day. The entire place needs a good clean especially the stairwell carpet. Not good value for money

I would definitely NOT recommend staying here for several reasons. One of the first things I noticed on arrival was that the back door to the property is latched open right through to 8pm at night. This allows anyone to walk in through the back laneway and carpark onto any of the floors and up to any apartment. This is an unmanned door and makes for poor security. This did not make me feel safe, and when I expressed my concern about this to the property reception, I was told that it was fine and not to worry about it. When I checked in I was told that there was no room service anymore. These are promoted as serviced apartments, and the price I paid reflected that. These are certainly not serviced apartments – they're more like tired, old motel rooms (also with an unpleasant musty smell) and didn't meet my expectations of what was advertised. In the room there is a sign above the stove advising that a maximum of 2 out of the 4 hobs could be used at any one time, along with warnings about what other appliances shouldn't be turned on at the same time. This made the kitchenette not fit for purpose and unsuitable for my stay. I contacted Booking.com about these issues as the accommodation was not quite as advertised and unsuitable for my needs. I requested that I end my stay a day early and obtain a refund for the cancelled night. They contacted the property to discuss this and when the customer service representative asked to speak to the property's manager, they were hung up on! When I spoke to the property manager in person he made no attempt at rectifying the issues or discussing options with me. The manager just continued to say that I could cancel my last night, but they have a no refunds policy. I cancelled my final night's accommodation at Parkville Place (with no refund) and booked accommodation elsewhere which was definitely the right decision for me.

Location was good.

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Stairway carpets needed a good clean. Bathroom walls, particularly behind door needed cleaning. TV 'cubby' was very dusty. Was advised on arrival at 'serviced apartments' that they were not being serviced because of COVID. Water pressure was terrible.
