Sixth visit to Meson De Mita and there's been some renovations since we were last there: pool area improvements, new breakfast bar, small dining tables overlooking the beach and ocean. The room had been refreshed too. For the $s, and location, there's no better place to stay in Punta Mita. Staff are great, very helpful. Oscar's taco stand is directly across from the hotel - a new favourite (they close at 6pm though) now Teresa's Taco's up the hill appears to have closed down.
The hammocks by the pool have been removed since our previous stay. They're missed. A mini fridge in the rooms would be very useful. And more coat-hangers :)

The pool is nice though not deep, functional
Property located next to a stream, body of water that smells like sewage is being dumped in. Not sure if that nasty water is leaching into the ocean beach area. Beach that is accessible by hotel was very dirty, bring beach shoes. They don't supply drinking water after the first day. Prices for food at restaurants is crazy expensive. Food truck called Oscars was across the street and cheap. No bar fridges in the rooms though you can use the office fridge. Beautiful beach down the street that is great for walking and clean.

Perfect location for a quiet beach experience! really appreciated the breakfast that was available from eight until 1 PM at a very reasonable price.
wanted to take an early morning swim before breakfast, but the pool doesn’t open until 9 AM. I would change that to have it open at 7 AM for those of us who like to swim before breakfast, but not a big deal I went to swim in the ocean instead, which was nice!

Exceptional common pool area. Lovely breakfast area by the pool. Beachfront. Excellent AC in the small and dated rooms with hard mattresses.
Large construction happening next door. Daily construction sounds, grinders, hammering, cement trucks etc from 8.30am-6.30pm. March 2023 for us and likely to peridots for at least another 6 months. Lots of evening noise from adjacent resturaunt La Rota.

The rooms were clean. Great big bed. Hammocks we used quite a bit. Great pool with waterviews.
We ordered breakfast and this was amazing value/quality, with coffee, juice, lots of hot and cold choices.

The beds were VERY uncomfortable. There were palm trees outside our room that were full of mosquitoes that creep into the rooms. the noise carries from room to room quite easily. there is significant construction next door so it was not quiet and peaceful to lounge on the property.

Beautiful little Mexican hotel. The only one in town that we could tell. There isn’t much to this little town.

Clean and comfortable room. Nice pool area. Breakfast buffet was very good and staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Close to many restaurants and easy access.

Gorgeous grounds and wonderful location, right on the water! Pool was cold but nicely situated. Excellent breakfast buffet. Sweet little patio outside our room, fairly quiet. Overall would stay again.
Rooms did not have refrigerators, small bathroom, and not very comfortable beds. No coffee in the room. Pool was cold when we were there in December.

The location and pool area were brilliant. Nice view out to sea on small beach
We had the double rooms. Worse part was the beds very uncomfortable unless you like ultra hard beds. And fairly small room. We had 3 rooms ours had no windows at all. The other two did av small windows. No balcony or sitting area outside of room so felt very closed in.

The location of Meson de Mita is perfect. The pool and the beachfront chairs were really the highlight of our time in Punta de Mita. The staff is really friendly and our room was comfortable and well appointed.
I would suggest that the hotel consider having a fridge in their rooms or around the property to keep food and drink cold.

Great location in a village atmosphere. Problem, first night we suffered a huricane that was strong and violent. The town lost electrical power for 2.5 days, which made everyday living difficult. Thanks to the caring staff most personal problems were addressed and dealth with. The desk manager, Alberto was right on top of the problems. His English was very good which helped. It is a short walk to many top level resturants to include the Rest. attached to the hotel site. All in all, cant beat the price and location.

for the cost, you can not beat this hotel; connected to best restaurant in town with great surf shop / shops immediately next door.
They have several new rooms upstairs that are 2 years old; how on earth the shower design is such that 1/2 the water sprays out is a head scratcher.

Beds were uncomfortable and rooms are very outdated. Very small bathroom. Pool was dirty and never cleaned while we were there (large clumps of hair, feathers, sand, more hair as you swim around)

As a female solo traveler, it was the best choice to stay at Meson de mita-I felt really safe! If you want quiet time alone, it's the best place to stay. The hotel is really next to the beach but also offers a really nice swimming pool. The staff was really friendly and the room was getting cleaned every day. Thank you for the stay, and I hope one day i will come back :)
