Everything exceeded my expectation. I arrived before the check in time, left my luggage at the counter, and when I came back from Oeschinensee, the luggage was already in my room! The view from my room was fantastic. At night, I was able to see the milky way despite the annoying street lights. Also, the moon shone through the room, creating a magical ambience.

This is a kittle beauty of a hotel...amazing staff and the waitressing in the restaurant is just fabulous...make u feel like a page 3 person..the view of the mountain...the vicinity to the local mart and train station helps..all in all the best we felt being hosted in switzerland 🇨🇭

officially it’s a 3 star category hotel, but in reality it’s a 5 star hotel, from service, F&B and the fact that they make you feel at home from the moment you check in. it’s absolutely fabulous and not to forget, the hotel has amazing views and my room had beautiful Mountain View! highly recommended!

Wonderful welcome from the start. We were looked after so well nothing too much trouble to make us comfortable. The dining here is excellent five star quality. Most comfortable relaxed stay I've experienced in a long time.
My husband has his 70th birthday during the stay and they made him feel special with table decoration chocolate and many wishes. Would highly recommend this hotel. Hopefully we can return in the future.

The restaurant is excellent. Definitely worth trying. Breakfast decent and good as well. Service good and helpful.
The location is central, close to the train station, where all the local buses depart from.
The beds were uncomortable. Mattresses were too hard and felt a bit outdated. We got a response that some people like it and some not. Well, an optional soft topper would solve this problem easily.

The breakfast was excellent as were the dinners. Maybe the offer of a packed lunch for hikes where the huts were more than three hours away from the start of a walk should be considered.

This is a very nice, well maintained, traditional Swiss hotel.
We would definitely return.
Loved Kandersteg.
It's hot in August and the room gets very warm which makes it difficult to sleep ( no AC). Not much you can do about it.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was nice and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Lovely continental breakfast, and we also had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Staying for at least 3 nights meant that we also got a free return trip on each of the 3 cable cars near the village, which was a surprising bonus.

Exceptional hotel, lovely staff and owners go the extra mile. Upon arrival we were given free tickets for the cable car to Oeschinen Lake which was extremely kind. The food was tremendous, potentially the best meal I’ve had. We had to check out very early (5am) and the owners put out sandwiches and allowed access to their coffee machine before the kitchen was opened. Couldn’t have made out stay any better, would definitely come back to this hotel & wonderful village.

Wow! Kandersteg is the most beautiful, picturesque little village. The hotel was superb and had the traditional Alpine/Chalet theme. We arrived a few hours early and the very helpful lady at reception took our bags so that we could go out exploring. When we returned these had been taken up to our room already. The room was large and had a spectacular view of the mountains. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the resident cat!
The only negative is that we only stayed one night!

Beautiful place, super friendly and helpful staff, lovely food. Being gluten intolerant, the staff was very attentive to my dietary restrictions and offered great alternatives.

Everything was good. We particularly appreciated the sitting room with teas, coffee and little cakes in the afternoon. Very clean, delicious food, cosy rooms. The staff were attentive and welcoming. We shall return. Thank you all.
