Excellent breakfast and very attentive host and great rooms 5 star quality

As they say never judge a book by the cover. The property is in a small side street behind some big green doors which made my heart sink at first sight. How wrong that initial assumption was.

Lovely host who is renovating this fine building in Carcasonne. Lots to do but what they had done was very sympathetically achieved and tasteful. Our bedroom was lovely and gray breakfast room. Look forward to seeing progress in the renovation!!

Car parking a bit tedious and getting to the place a challenge with one way streets and blocked roads great and would stay again

As others have said don't be put off by the facade of the building. Four amazing big bedrooms with two overlooking a large courtyard where breakfast can be taken. Huge shower and stand alone tub.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Booked us a taxi for departure and ensured it came on time.Beautifully furnished and spacious room. Very quiet.Central location in Bastide. Easy walk to bars and restaurants.

Take care on steps in garden, leading to terrace and breakfast room. They need resurfacing but hosts are renovating.

It was modern, clean, beautifully decorated and very well thought out.

We loved everything about this property. The hosts were really lovely, informative and helpful. The room was amazing more of a small suite rather than a standard room which was decorated to a very high standard. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. We was pleased to have found this wonderful place and will definitely be returning

Very comfortable, clean and well located. The breakfast was lovely and Virginie was really helpful and happy to store our luggage for a couple of hours

Lack of toiletries

Nice and comfortable room, good breakfast, quiet, secure onsite parking, nicely restored building.

Very difficult entrance with a car (the owner helped), a bit far from the citadel historical district in the medieval city. No refrigerator in room.

It was a beautiful Hotel. And the owner was extremely helpful

I was told there would be a swimming pool in 2 years time, this would be great There is nothing that I really could say about this Hotel.

Excellent location, superb room , great breakfast.

Parking the car was tricky due to one way street. You also had to reverse in through the double doors. A bit of a tight fit.b

What a beautiful room, and in such a fabulous and unexpected location. Virginie looked after us tremendously well with a lovely, gluten free, breakfast. Shame we didn't get to make the most of the lovely garden in the rain but we had a great room to rest up in. Thank you so much for all your assistance.

The stairs were a bit challenging

We absolutely loved our stay, what a hidden gem! A beautifully renovated property with amazing courtyard and garden. The bedroom was so peaceful and bright, we enjoyed just spending time in there, particularly when it torrentially rained! Such attention to detail with the decor and furniture. It’s the only place in France where we had a kettle in the room with hot drinks, which for us was really important. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of choice. The host, Virginie, was so lovely and helped us to plan our onward travel during national rail strikes and last minute cancellations.

The initial arrival after dark was unsettling as the outside looked closed and unwelcoming. Once inside the entrance lobby was unfinished and untidy The pillows were uncomfortable
