The staff was wonderful, and the good was very good too! We had a very nice stay.

It was all wonderful. Nothing we didn't like.

Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and dinner (pork belly was exceptional).

This is a very good pub to stay at. Location is great as is the atmosphere. The staff and quality of room is also worth mentioning.

Reception/ check-in area in the pub wasn't so obvious when first entering.

Location is great + private car park is extremely convenient, friendly staff & good atmosphere & excellent food, also good beer & good wine. High standard of cleanliness. Overall: it's a class act. The job I actually came to Eastbourne to do was a nightmare, so the sheer excellence of the Pilot Inn really saved the day & prevented me from losing the will to live.

This is probably my own stupid fault for not reading the small print when booking, but I was slightly taken aback to discover on arrival that breakfast would be extra. Mind you, I bet the breakfast is as good as everything else.

Situated above a charming pub, the rooms were very clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras like a fridge, bottled water, coffee, tea, biscuits, iron, extra blankets etc. The shower pressure was excellent and bed comfortable. It’s a great location for beautiful Mead and Beachy Head but maybe a little far from town if your activities are pier and central Eastbourne based although there’s a great bus service. They kindly let us store our bags when we arrived early. Would recommend staying here.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room and ensuite was really lovely, beautifully designed and very well equipped. We chose to eat evening meal and breakfast on site, both of which were very good. Outside areas are also well presented.
